I received a call from the same number on July 9th 2007 at 9:00pm CST, but my ringer was shut off and i missed it. I found out that it's a Toronto area code. I don't know anyone in Toronto, but out of curiosity i phoned the number and a voice machine said that the number is not in service.Very Odd.
Could it be some sort of advertising agency or Telemarketer? I dunno but please post if anyone finds out

my supposed bf called me from this number at 3:40am tonight, july 10/07. he lived in north bay and i live in toronto. he claims he moved to toronto and i'm waiting to see the apartment which may or not actually exist! he had a cell number from north bay but gave the cell phone to his father, so he claims that the number he called from (416-210-3889) was a pay phone in toronto and that he was calling using a calling card. that may be true but also he might still be in north bay and calling using a calling card from up there (i haven't actually seen him in a couple days, so i can't confirm if he is in toronto now or not). i also called the number (416-210-3889) back, and got the same reply as many of you: 'this number is not in service'. so i think the number is EITHER a pay phone in toronto OR a calling card number that can be used from anywhere. i tried looking the number up in 411 canada, but got no results.

got a call 10:15, rung once, thats it.

I just a few calls from this number, always around 1 or 2 in the morning starting from july 10th until now. I have never been at home to take it and  a message was never left. I was kind of annoyed as it is an Ontario number and I live in Edmonton....I ggogled it and found this, its kind of odd how many people have received calls like this.

got a call from this number , creepy as usual but this time it was my mom leaving me a message, soooooo creepy!

I get calls all hours of the day, night and early morning, this is very annoying and needs to stop. I'm in the USA but the calls are coming from Canada.

This number is from a prepaid calling card. You go to the store, you buy a calling card for $10 or $20, you make a call, that's the number that appears as the incoming i.d. Hope this helps!

Yeah, I'll confirm that.  I'm in Montreal and when I got a call from my girlfriend yesterday who was using her calling card from a phone booth (a local one), this is the number that appeared on my call display.

pretty much the exact same deal as the person above me, called twice left no messages and when i tryed to call back, operator says number is out of service.

i just got a call from this number but i know the girl who was on the linde...odd she was calling from a place in drummondville in quebec...she was in the hospital in the Psychiatry department lol ... i swear this is true... i think she just got a calling card which shows this number ...

got a call from this number and the person was in Montreal and left me a mess. I am guessing from this site that he was calling from a calling card since he is staying at a hotel.

Today I bought a 10 dollar prepaid Bell Canada calling card at a convenience store near Montreal Quebec. (I bought it for my young son who is going to spend a week at a camp, as I want him to call me.)  Anyway, when he called me this evening, from a pay phone at camp, this is the number that appeared on my call display. I hope this helps to clear up the mystery about this number.

My mother received a call from my neice, shes a heavy drug user, and we know where she is now but when she called home with this number (416-210-3998)displaying we all panicked but now that I found this info We can rest a little easier - knowing shes not in toronto/

hey there... i live in nova scotia, and i got a call tonight around 8:05pm i was unable to get to the phone, i have a lot of family that live in toronto..i thought it was from them so i googled it to see what came up.. and here i am..
so is this some kind of tel-a-marketer...?
