The government Do Not Call law is useless, the program and its employees are getting paid to do nothing!
Who in their right mind would trust a company that breaks the lay… maybe an idiot!
This number is fishing for private information for their scam…
Every time I get a call like this it reminds me that if they outlaw guns only outlaws will have them! It is illegal to spam call people on the do not call list, yet they break the law anyway! So remember when they outlaw our guns only the evil will have them, and you will be standing helplessly while your children and family are….
Unfortunately ignorant people fall for the same scam that the government will fix things by making things illegal. Like making spoons illegal because people get fat. Go ahead and give up your gun, but at least let us that think protect our families.
The Government DoNotCall program is as effective as the Government is at securing our country’s borders! USELESS AND INCOMPETENT!
… criminals don’t follow the laws! That’s why laws need to be enforced! The DoNotCall laws are not enforced, and that is evidenced based on the fact our phones are ringing off the hook with criminals scamming!!!!!
Don't think for one minute that the DNC program cannot stop all these scammers for us if they wanted to! They say the scammers are just too sneaky to track down. EVER HEARD OF THE N.S.A. National Security Agency?

Got a call this morning, second call in two days, and they did not leave a message. Was supposedly from Suffolk, Virginia. If you want to talk to me, and I don't recognize your number, leave a message.

Oops, contrary to my above message, this call was supposedly from Fresno, California, not Suffolk, Virginia. That was from another scam call that did not leave a message. This was my first call from this number. Sorry for the confusion.

When I spoke, a recorded message about "The Fraternal Order of Police"
THIS IS A BOGUS CHARITY.
Hung up, BLOCKED

they called twenty minutes ago; nobody responded to my "hello"; I have a CPR call blocker, so the number is blocked forever.

The DNC isn't a call blocker and can not protect you from the illegal callers, extortion scammers, foreign country's and frauds. Criminals do not obey laws simply said.    They use spoofed numbers which make it hard to track them down.. it takes time to do this and many subpoenas for call records.

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

i empathize with your anger...why not just take your gun(s) and shoot your phone? Okay, i'm just kidding, what i do is turn my ringer off--legitimate callers will leave a message, spammers won't. But tamianth (below) is correct (and so are you)--scammers don't care about laws. Sad, but true.

This "charity" spoofs their phone number. The number you see on your call display is not where they are calling from. They are scammers. You can block their numbers, but they change the number they spoof frequently, so you will constantly have to keep adding new numbers to your blocked numbers list. I've been getting calls from them off and on for 15 years or so. Seriously. They are definitely scammers.

Use a spread sheet to keep track of numbers to block, active numbers and unblock the inactive ones. A phone that can block 250 will never run out of room as long as you keep track.

You are 100% correct! I'm almost sure that they get our numbers from the do not call list! Our government is more worried about offending certain religious  groups than enforcing our laws. I get an average of 50 calls or more a month and I have updated my info on the do not call list, what a waist of taxpayers money!

I agree..i am a senior citizen and need my landline to be clear..i wonder if politicians are getting 50 to 60 calls or more a month?  The phone companies continue to do business with these scammers because they make money..no incentive to stop them. Our private phones are no longer ours..they belong to the telemarketers and scammers..they violate our constitutional rights to privacy!  Bummer that nothing is done..we are disgusted in so many ways by do nothing politicians getting exhorbitant pay and perks..

The Fraternal Order of Police is a charity scam.  Your local police department will not solicit funds over the phone.  This group will sometimes call you by your first name and they use many different phone numbers.  They claim to be exempt from the Do Not Call list because they are a charity.  Total scam.

Called, left no message yet again.

I used to get very upset with the volume of scam, solicitation, survey, etc., etc. calls I would get on a weekly basis. I would complain and gripe until one day I just decided I was not going to let them add to my stress level anymore. Now I have call blocker and as the calls come in I add the numbers to the list and the amount of calls I get now has been reduced to a trickle. The government, DNC list, law enforcement, and definitely not the NSA will ever solve the problem....we need to learn how to deal with it. Just block them. I no longer feel my blood pressure jump when the phone rings and I don't recognize the number. Try and keep it in perspective...there's more important things to worry about.
