Hello everyone, i just have to share my story so you know you're not alone... i have also been the 'victim' of these telemarketers. I mean, i didnt lose any money, but i lost just about patience and time.
THE Call appears as incoming from 1-641-715-3900 on my phone, but after reading other messages on this forum i conclude that this is only a third-party company based in Iowa that specialises in automated phone calls, done for other companies. So they're paid by the company that's actually trying to reach you, just to do the dirty calling for them.
In my case, it was 'Centre des Petites Entreprises, Ottawa, Canada', which is a 'private research company??' that deals grants between small enterprises and the canadian and provincial governments, (This is from the actual message recorded on my answering machine). The recorded message left on my answering machine is in french(ok I speak french), with a bad accent, so i can barely make out the phone number: 613-963-2473.
When i call there, it's either
1-busy
2-dead silent
3-automated message asking me for a CODE ?
4-no answer.
This has been going on for over 8 months, at least once a week. Last time it happened i just snapped, so i Googled the phone number and got right here to this forum. After some additionnal research i finally found the website of the company that was trying to reach me to GIVE ME MONEY for my new business:

*Thanks*, i *really* **appreciate** that you want to give me all of that money but please have S-O-M-E-O-N-E call me just ONCE and ASK me if i'm INTERESTED IN IT instead of ANNOYING ME WITH YOUR F*****G PHONE BOT!!!!! ....AINT THAT EASY TO UNDERSTAND ?????
So THEN, glad i finally found out who it was, i calmy call the phone number shown on the site,

And Trevor picks up the phone:
-Hi, is this the first time you're calling us?
Me: -Yes, and i hope it's the last time too...i'm calling from ****** and i want to file a complaint about the automated phone hassling.
Trevor: -Oh, so you're calling us from ******? Give me your name and phone number, we'll call you back.
Me: -Uh, when?
Trevor: -Today
Me: -Uh, when today (it's 16:00 already)
Trevor: -Before 8PM
Me: i idiotly give him the informaiton cause i want to solve this sh*t, then we hang up
10 minutes pass, they're not GOING to call me back anyway i think, oh no they're not
I call back:
Trevor picks up the phone:
-Hi, is this the first time you're calling us?
Me: -Yes is it (It is pointless to say i called 10 minutes ago)
Trevor: -Well i think you called earlier, listen buddy, if you want to make a complaint then here's the number 1-866-419-1624 (By the time i get to the kitchen, grab paper and sh*t, he's losing patience) -Now stop making us lose our time and just call there, now i hope you're not really in business dude 'cause youre really f**king slow...
then he HANGS UP on me.

At this point, just picture 8 months of accumulated pressure beeing suddenly released. Oooh i aam soooo calling back there, no i'm not letting that one go by.
I call back and a lovely and polite female voice answers:
-Hi, is it the first time you're calling us?
Me: -Yes, it's the first time i'm calling, i just wanna speak to Trevor...
Her: -Oh, hold on...
Trevor: -Hi, is it the first time you're calling us?
Me: -Yes, well ... hum, actually not anymore, Trevor, 'cause i'm the one you just hung up to...
Trevor: -You're making me lose my time, don't you have anything better to do?
Me: -Actually no, i don't, i'm just trying to solve a problem and you just insult me like that before you hang up on me, that ain't right
Trevor: -i gave you the number for complaints there's nothing else i can do for you.
Me: I hang up
1 minute passes
I call back. The lovely voice answers and i ask her to speak to the 'person in charge' Oh, Mr Burns, she says, isn't available right now, he will call you back. (Days couting and he has not yet.)
2 more minutes pass and i call back, i get a new male voice.
So i tell this guy how i just called to make a complaint about the automated phone messages but that i got insulted by trigger-happy Trevor
and he sights: -ooh , that isnt the first time i hear this! What do you want me to, remove your phone number from the list?
Me: -YES! -YESS! PLEAASE DO ITTT!
New male voice: It will be done shortly.
Me: -Thank you soo much youve been very kind and polite, not like Trevor, thanks..
We hang up.
3 minutes pass (in the end it all depends on whos anwering the phone i think)
I call back.
Trevor picks up the phone: -Hi, is it the first time you call us?
Me : -ASSSSSSHOOOOOLE!!!! (short silence)
SLAM!!! (me hanging up on him)
10 minutes pass
I call back
Trevor answers: -Hi, is it the first time you're calling us?
Me: -YOU THINK YOU KNOW EVERYTHING' MOTHERFFFFFFFUCKER???
SLAM!!! (me hanging up)
He deserved it.
I mean, WTF is wrong with these people? WTF are you supposed to do?
I can endure deficient client support but not being insulted and talked to like that. I hope HES not in business cause with an attitude like that I wouldnt hire him for sure. If you happen to have a case with this company in particular, remember that they were all very nice except at this phone support except for Trevor, the arrogant a*shole. If you have a problem there you know who's fault it is, don't blame the wrong people.
Their stupid automated phone haslling system makes me hate them as a whole though, and as far as 'Centre des Petites Entreprises' in Ottawa goes, i now sh*t on their name FOREVER in le virtual space. I feel more relieved now.
