I just got the same charge. 429.00 ID Safe. Never have used this company. Interesting I have not even used this card in 2 years. Back canceled the account and sending me a new one. Crazy. Hope they get these people.

I have the same problem with ID Safe.  Another $429 charge on a USAA Mastercard with the same transaction date of 1/10.  Already filed dispute with my credit card.

Received my cc statement yesterday. Googled the phone number and sure enough, here I am in the same boat as everyone else. Called my cc company immediately and it is being handled by the fraud dept. This really sucks.

Same deal, got statement with $429 for id safe. Advanta said it was a online general merchandise.  filed it as fraud. How does this happen????

I just notice this suspicious charge to my account and mine is a citibank card too. Citibank told me to call ID safe to find out what $429 charge is for. Citibank should already know about this in my opinion.

Same as everyone else.  Was charged $429 on Jan. 18 by ID safe on Bank of America Visa. B of A has already credited us this amount.  The only thing we have in common is we have used Net Flix.

Yup - Just got the same $429 charge on my PayPal debit card that I haven't used (in fact cut up and threw away) months ago. These guys are absolute fraud, and unfortunately it's going to take a while until I get credit back. With all the complaints (also take a look at https://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/8882616045), what are the authorities waiting for? I'm sure everyone here would like to see these SOBs thrown in jail as soon as possible.

I got this same charge on my credit card.  "ID SAFE" out of NV (Nevada)
the phone number associated was 888-621-6045.  The charge was $429.00

We called our credit card company (Capital One) and reported fraud.  The credit card company immediately credited our account.  

This is definitely a fraudulent charge.

I Called my credit card company, CAPITAL ONE to cancel my card and report a fraud case on this company's charge. ID SAFE in NV showed up with the same amount as everyone else, $429 and this happened January 9, 2008. The pattern matches everyone else's. I have no credit protection plan, unlike some on this thread. The thought that this company is hitting up people signed up on other fraud protection is countered by at least one case, mine.

Got me too. Fake charged showed up from ID SAFE for $429 on 1/10/08 on my Shell Mastercard from Citi Bank. They were great about reversing the charge, closing my account, and now issuing me a new card.

Just found the same charge on my Chase Visa.  I called the 888 number and someone answered "hello?" - not very business like!  They claimed that I authorized the charge, then promised to give me a refund.  I disputed the charge with Chase and they removed the charge immediately.  I wish I could find out if they shut this outfit down.

Same as the others.  I opened my Target Visa and found the $429 charge.  I called the 1-800 number listed on the statement and was directed by a pleasant lady to call the 1-888 number. Obviously, they must have received many calls.  I immediately called Target Visa and spoke with a very helpful rep. that took all my info.

I had the same change from ID SAFE for $429.  There was no contact information on my credit card statement, so I called Visa.  They called the number they had on file and it was disconnected.  They credited the money to me immediately.

Live in CA. Credit Card Services was the name of the company that called me on 2/7.  They offered lower rates on my cards.  I am on the DNC national registry, so stayed on the line to ask them to remove me from their list.  I got a rep, told him to do so, and he hung up on me...interesting twist...the debit card they charged was brand new, since the same thing hapepned in January.  They stole my new card information from either Target, Costco, Petco, Safeway or Nob Hill.

I found the $429 charge on my Bank of America online statement today.  I called Bank of America's fraud department and had a conference call with ID Safe and the BofA rep. June from ID Safe said they'd refund the money to my card within 5-7 days.  When I asked how they got my card number in the first place, she said it was from a phone solicitation--I told her I never received such a call.  She said she'd have someone look into it... I also filed a complaint with the WA State Attorney General's Office.

Same here, checked my online statement. Same charge for $429 from ID Safe, already cancelled my card and am in the process of signing an affidavit to get credit back. I got the 800# and recieved the 888number from reception, just an answering machine.

I don't know if they called or not but the now infamous $429 showed up on my Capital One card 1/22/2008.  The 1-888 number says Nevada on my statement, same story, no Customer Service agent available....please leave a detailed message.  To the Fraud department I went.

Same deal.. Capital One fraud department is investigating.  Didnt sign up for any services and am totally protective of my card info.  Wonder how they got ahold of all these card numbers?  You would think criminal investigators would be looking into it.

The same charge appeared on my credit card account 2/9.  I canceled the card and the bank is investigating.  I called the 888 number and there was "no more room" to leave messages.

I don't recall receiving a phone call from this number, however, a $429 charge has shown up on my credit card to ID SAFE, with this phone number in the merchant description. Had to close my account today. Major pain.
