I received a call from this number as well.  The caller immediately hung up upon my answering.  My caller id labeled this as a "security screen".

What kind of phone number is this?
It seems like it should be easy to trace.

endless calls from this idot. cid shows security screen.

Number was just "2"  Didn't leave a message.  And of course since it only comes across as a "2" I can't block the number

I contacted Qwest (my provider). Security Screen is a service they offer. When a call comes in that is unknown or blocked Security Screen rings 2 short rings and displays a number the caller entered when asked to enter one by the service. If you have Qwest, you can log on to their website and find the info about it. They will also tell you how to turn the service off and on. So these calls are obviously from scammers but you can see the number they called from to block them or call them back by turning security screen off.

Qwest directed me to call *77 to block "Anonymous Callers"

Got this weird number "2" show up on my caller is ID today. No message left. I don't answer numbers I don't know!

Number just comes up as "002"...that's as bad as the 987-654-3210 I got once.

Same thing   Caller ID said "Security Screen" and the calling number was 1-000-000-0002

I received a call from 000-000-0002 did not answer.  Not even a minute later Portofolio Recovery called.  Would almost bet these two numbers are related.  I did not answer the second one either.

ID appeared as 000-000-0002 and when I answered I first got a robotic voice filling in blanks asking for me by name.  I held on until a live person came on the line.  A male got on the line and seemed to be reading a memorized snippet of text which he said so fast that I could not understand him.  I asked him to please repeat the information which he did and although he didn't slow down any in speech, I got the name Convergent Outsourcing [after researching, this company was previously known as ER Solutions].  Although I never confirmed that I was the person they were seeking, the man asked for the last 4 digits of my ss#.  I told him that I would not give that information to anyone over the phone as I could not confirm who HE was.  He restated the company name and that it was a private matter.  I then informed him that he could say anything he chose but I could not confirm it and I do not give out personal information to strangers.

Recorded message said it was Kelly Smith trying to contact a relative of mine.

Just got a call from this number last month. I never answered because it is a weird number to begin with. These scammers have gotten out of hand. It has been added to my call rejection list.

Keeps calling from disguised phone numbers. 000-000-002 and the number 2 on the caller id. Have answered the call and asked them to identify themselves and the reason for their call. Have been told that they are Convergent Outsourcing collections, attempting to locate a relative of mine. They will not stop calling. Should be illegal to disguise their number on the caller id and to call relatives of people that they are trying to collect money from.
