just received a text message as well that says:

My cell phone service doesnt have a feature called top-up and i have 2000 anytime minutes. i'd never need it. who are these people???

I've also received this text message.  Anyone know what it's about?

I don't know what this thing is, but if it's asking me for money it's not going to get any.  Any ideas what VMU is?

just got a text from this number.  Says you've added a 20.00 minute pack mins are good for 30 days.  Add a pack within 30 days & unused mins roll forward.  Unknown what the heck this is about. Fearful that this is going to be charged to my cell.  How do we stop these unwanted text/calls?

have no clue what top up is.

i got a text that says they are charging me $6.99 for like 10 cents a minute they are saying they are charging me.. what is this???

I got the exact same message you have it stated that i was chage $6.99 plus taxes and surcharges and that it was sucessful. by $VMU$. It also says Talk on for 10cent a minute

its virgin mobile haha yall are funny its just an alert u might get one once a month

Did anyone contact Virgin Mobile about these text messages.  I am going to report them myself.

It is Virgin Mobile's alert messaging service. It lets you know when you add money to your account (top-up), or when your account is disabled because your pre-paid time has expired

Topping up is Virgin Mobile's word for adding money to your payment account.
