That is correct,a text message sent as an email from a computer to a celluar telephone will show the number 6245 on your bill.  So someone is using email to communicate with a cellular telephone.

i believe it is from yahoo messenger, my husband signs in to that all the time and it costs a text message every time

I get this number when I text message from my phone to an email account.

HOWEVER, these text message numbers like 6245 and 37411 almost always relate to spam, and have nothing to do with his cheating.

I have a few ads on a site called Kijiji and I just received a text message from a person saying " - Scammer! Your ad on Kijiji is such bogus. You are a terrible terrible person. You should be shot!!" I dont understand why I got this text message as i am def not a scammer!! I am a REAL person with a REAL job in Edmonton AB Telling people right in my ad I would Meet with them to show them what I was selling!! I want to know who sent this text message so I can clear it up!!

i got a really creepy message from this number. they knew personal information about me and asked me to hook up, i was really freaked. is this just the number listed when someone I/M's you?

I started getting these "TXT messages" and they were asking for sex and they even gave me a number to call back when i called back it says that the number changed and when i went to 411 reverse directory it gives a number from toronto but no name, and i go to the map and it says that is in california in the middle of nowhere, i received another one lately and i had to call the police and they are going to track it!!!

- i have been recieving these msgs since the day after i got married i changed my number and STILL!! i am recieving these vulger adn foul msgs. the wierd thing is my friend recieved the same msgs. same msgs what the hell is going on here. im about to cancel my service with verizon because obviously changing my number isnt doing any good.

I got a message from 6245 saying my credit card had been deactivated and to call a number which was listed to reactivate the card.

i dont want these calls to my fone.  but i cant stop them.  I want them stopped

These are Yahoo messages.  If you've got Yahoo mobile on your phone you'll get CID "6245" with a bunch of zeros in front.  If not, it's someone sending you an SMS through yahoo instant messenger.  there are different codes for whatever reason too, not just 6245, but it's the most common.

You're not supposed to receive text messages on  your husband's phone. What the hell are you doing violating his privacy. The irony of you getting upset is amusing, as is your attempt at spelling.

I will tell you what I know about this number.
My husband was chating with people on the internet & this number was on his phone. After researching, I found out a woman was texting him through
Email. My advice would be to check calling & text message calls without him knowing.

I would be aware! That number is a text message from someone's email address. My husband got them to, I checked his phone and it was from a woman.

Ummm...I have text my husbands phone from my computer at work due to my phone battery going dead.  If you look at your acct. on line, because of using the computer to text, the # will come up 0000006245.  And when the person (my husband) texts back, it will show on the acct. that the text was sent back to 0000006245.  Hope this brings relief to you.
