Thank you for this informative post. It's now many years later and it's still happening! I just got debited. I know what to do now. These people are awful and I cannot believe that the banks are unable to stop this!

they now call themselves D assist with a number ref 39675 i had them blocked ,they took 249.99 which i had reversed.

I have had these people debiting my account now to an estimated R17000 and FNB refuses to stop then debit as i must contact the person and get them to stop. My ref as it appears on my statement is Optimum user ID9663.
for 10 days now i have been trying to stop this and received zero help from FNB

I think this is major scam I also noticed this deduction last month on my statement

2023 and this still continues. Feb 2023, 4 grand was stolen from my account. No authorization. No notification. I am with FNB. What on Earth!? I only got this number after contacting FNB about the debit order! I am beyond furious.

An amount has been debited from my FNB account for the last couple of years. It is supposed to be a provident fund policy from Alexander Forbes. I contacted AF, and they could not get any info under my name/id. The policy number doesn't even exist on their side. I went to the bank i.o.f. them to do an investigation.  They now gave me the same number that I tried to call. 0117104056. According to google this number is connected to Nedbank/Nedcor, and according to FNB this number belongs to NCC. I want to take this issue further as money has been deducted from my bank account, and I have no clue as to where its been going to all these years! Has anyone had the same problem and what measures did you take to take this further?
