An Indian guy claiming to be from Dell support, he actually had all my dell information, so I guess dell got hacked. Said some lie about the laptop having a "chip" that detects malicious software and that I should allow him to access my computer to fix it. All a big fat lie, dont buy it!

This person calls my number day and night and I don't anwer it

THIS IS A SCAM! It cost me $100 but could have been much worse, they called and told me my computer had been hacked, said they were from Dell Technical support, they had my name, address, service tag # from my Dell lap top, some how they were actually running my computer while I was watching, they are very, very good.I was convinced I needed to purchase this special program and they would then give me 3 years of protection from these hackers. The next day they called me back to tell me the program they had sold me was oout dated and they would refund my money if Iz went to my financial institution and clicked yes to authorize the refund etc IZ could go on and on fortunately VISA fraud control was able to cancel my card before these maggots could steal any of my cash. HANG UP, BLOCK THEIR CALLS DO NOT ANSWER THEIR CALLS THEY HAVE CALLED 8 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 DAYS. I HAD TO CALL DELL TECH SUPPORT AND SPEND OVER 3 HOURS ON THE PHONE WITH THEM CLEANING THE GARBAGE AND DAMAGE THESE BUMS HAD DONE TO MY CPU!!!

Called several times. I did answer, they provided a supposed service tag #.
Said the machine was reporting to them issues. I hung up.

I've gotten 3 calls now from this number (in different variations as described by D.R. in this thread).  No voicemail is ever left, but for the first time I answered the call.  There was a pause, then a high-pitched beep, then an automated voice said, "Goodbye".  Tried calling the number but only get the automated "Call cannot be completed" message.  Definitely a scam. (A few months ago I contacted Dell to send me the original OS install disk for my few-years-old laptop, so I'm sure they have my name and service number etc., too.)

I also have been getting a call from this number 011-781-3002. First 2 time they dropped the call once I picked the phone. Today finally the person on other side spoke and said he is from Dell Technical Service and he said there is some virus in your computer. He wanted to install a software on my computer so he can remove some unwanted error message from virus. When I asked more questions, he dropped the call. This is a scam.
