They called me 13 times today, 8 times yesterday and 5 the day before! It was an Indian lady and i couldnt make out where she said she was calling from - i didnt give her any more of my time, i said stop calling me, she said sorry to bother u and i hung up. Really dont know who this is but would appreciate not having a bunch of missed calls!!

they called on us at 00h01am on new years day... we didn't dare answering seemed like a scam!!

Just had a call from this number ! I've designated it as Scam 8 ! That way, if called again by the same number, the Scam thing will show up - sad really that these scumbags have nothing better to do, isn't it ? So, from now on. we'll just let the 'phone rung out !

computer fault service

Just received a call from this # 012-345-6789 telling me he can fix my computer as it has bugs in it all I have to do is give him my okay and he will fix it. He had a very thick acent.
I asked where he was calling from he said Calgary Alberta.
I asked if he knew I had viruses in my computer then e-mail me his info. He said he didn't have my e-mail could I give it to him, so I said if you don't have my e-mail already then how do you know I have a virus.
I hung up

Had at least 4 calls from this number no idea who they are as they don't answer you when you pick up the phone. So sick of calls like this.

Received a call 8/6th from 'Unknown Name' at 012-345-6789.  Very similar to what previous writers said.  He had an Indian accent and said my computer was running slow and he could fix it.  I told him No.  He asked if I was near my computer.  I told him No and that it wasn't On.  He asked me to turn it on, so he could fix it.  I hung up on him.  I've been wondering, all this time, about this call and how he got our number.  I looked up the 012 area code and there's no listing for it.  I'm glad I found this website to find out it's a Skype call.  Curious minds want to know.  I hope others don't fall for this scam.

This person keeps calling and won't stop. How can I find out who it is ?

I have received several of these types of calls & just the latest one today  was from this 012-345-6789 SKYPE phone number.     The callers all have Indian sounding accents & are probably calling from some Indian call center.    They say they want to fix my computer but wind up wanting me to PAY THEM  about $300 every year for their software protection service!

These Hackers have previously planted their BADWARE ( MALWARE ) on one of my computers.

You either pay them or they will crimp or slow down your computer speed.  
If you don't pay, they say your computer will slow down so much it will become unusable.
Sounds like the old Italian MAFIA protection service ring to me!

To shake these criminals off the phone, I tell them to call me back tomorrow morning at 10 am, they never do.     I am going to reformat this computer to get rid of this badware.  That will fix their wagon for good!

Always get the OEM software disks for any new computer you buy.
This allows you to reformat your solid state or hard disk drives whenever you need to get rid of badware.

Another solution is to use the RESTORE feature on your computer if you have a good idea of  exactly when the badware was first planted on your computer.   This way you lose very little data on your computer.
 By  sharing these ideas amongst  users of this 800notes service we can have an impact on these CRIMINALS!        I  HATE  HACKERS  &  OTHER  COMPUTER  CRIMINALS!

Call from 0123456789 this evening. Answered and nobody there. Makes a change from being asked if I am KL who obviously has given my number to hundreds of loan companies!

Very angry after getting calls thought the night last one at 4.45am, thinking of getting air horn!!!!

This number phoned me twice last night
Awoke me on both occasions at 12.30am and 4.00am

Have been rung at 10.45 pm and 7.20am - how can it be prevented? It is very suspicious
