i always received calls frm ds number but i dont answer because its unknown..

Its Feb 16, 2022 and I got the same call that everyone is telling here. This number (02) 8459 2200 called me at around 4pm. He presented himself as someone from BPI, BPI Rockwell if I’m not mistaken. He knows my name, mobile number, address, company/employer, TIN, and even my mother’s maiden name!!! He asked me to confirm all the details he mentioned then he asked me to tell my birthday which seems he also know, then he asked for my employer’s address. He got me when he mentioned my mother’s maiden name because it’s something that only bank or government ask right? So I lowered my guard and entertained the call. He told me that BPI has a promo and they are offering me a BPI platinum credit card together with the BPI eCredit which is familiar to me because I’m really planning to get a cc last week but was waiting for the release of my COE! He told me that I don’t have to send any document and he just need my confirmation of the details that he mentioned, he ask me my birthday as part of the verification process and which seems he also know as he confirmed that it was what was on my profile, then he asked me for my company’s address which I gave and lastly he told me that if I agree on getting the credit card, I must say “YES” after he read the terms and condition / agreement as the call was recorded which then I said YES. And the call ended after some thank you. After the call I mentioned it to my Aunt which is a BPI cc holder which she mentioned that she also got her cc in that way, thru a call but she warned me to be alert to whose calling so that is when I started panicking, I immediately search for the number and I saw this thread which got me really really nervous! No one replied or updated if they got a cc after. Can anyone confirm or tell what happened after? To lessen my anxiety, I immediately changed all of my online banking password, MPIN and my email’s password. I called the BPI hotline and I was told that it “might” be a legit call as it really happens that they offer cc to their customers but to ease my fear, she gave me the contact number of the Rockwell branch which I’ll try to call tomorrow.

What if the number is being spoofed?  People should be careful about calls from this number. People should call the company using the number on the back of their card.

I had a suspicious phone call on this number  this morning and told me that they' re from bpi and offering me to apply for blue master card credit card application and guess what no requirements needed 😲 so obviously it is definitely  a scam so i just told the other line that i have an urgent things to do and maybe they can call me back tommorrow. So beware of this number  !!

Legit naman po. I called BPI hotline and confirmed po na sa kanila naman po yung landline na tumawag. Wala naman pong suspicious questions like CVV, OTP, etc. kaya I didn't think na scam siya. Kinabahan lang ako nung nabasa ko yung mga posts dito kaya tumawag po ako mismo sa BPI after nung call.

What if the number is being spoofed? See my post above. There are too many shills, spam ads and contradictory posts here that this number is 100% trustworthy.  Be careful about calls from this number.

She is claiming that she is Janet Reyes from BPI, she called me today (May 5, 2022). I doubt that she is not legit, she knows my information, and finally doubt her because she does not possess the correct tone of a trained CSR, and most of the time had dead air as if she is talking to someone else in front of her, that is why she is a scammer alert.

Instead of asking someone who posted several months ago and is likely never to return, why don't you do the smart thing and contact BPI at a known phone number?

A lady called me using this number and she claimed to be from BPI Main branch makati and offering me a master credit card as i am qualified and she will be the one to processed everything. I hang up the phoe and immediately called their branch to report/confirmed.

0284592200 omg this # called me a while ago. And she have all of my informations. Thou she didnt asked me a one time password,  but i find it suspiscious. Bigla ako kinabahan 😓

I got a phone call from this number and she have all the informations about me. Is this legit? She said she is from bpi.
