I would like to find out who called me with this number because I phoned back but its offline.

I received a call from this number (based in Durban, South Africa). The person (a man) offered me a loan and claimed to be associated with First National Bank SA. They did not have the correct details for my name, so I tried to correct them so as not to cause any confusion if I wanted to proceed further. At this point they put the phone down on me. If FNB have shared my contact details with a third party without my permission, this is illegal and the third party company should be stopped from calling people. I hope that posting this will assist anyone else who receives a call from this number. I tried calling back, but the number only allows outgoing calls, not incoming.

I also got a call from this number (an Indian lady)claiming to be associated with FNB and  offering a personal loan.  They were asking for details as to my monthly salary and trying to authorise for them to do a credit check.  Why would they need to do a credit check if they have all my details already?????

I got very uncomfortable at this point and told her I was not comfortable answering her questions and that I was not interested or in need of a loan.  

Since when do FNB phone from Durban?  I think FNB should investigate this.  If they are handing out customer details to people like this, I am not a happy customer!!!

So sick of unsolicited phone calls!!! Where are these people getting my number??? If I am interested in purchasing something, or obtaining something.. I will call you. This number phoned me twice and when I started asking questions they "kindly" said goodbye... I'm also with FNB and if FNB are giving out my number there is going to be big trouble.
