just called number looked really strange did not answer, was looking them up when found this site and all the BS that that number was used for...

Got a Robo call from "Card Services" regarding credit card rate-lowering; I stayed on the line to talk to a live person.  Person came on the line speaking with a distinctive Indian accent.  When I asked what company "Card Services" was affiliated with, he said that "Card Services" was  sponssored by "Experian" Credit Bureau. When I aked were they were located, they said Atlanta, GA (that is were Experian is) but, they could not state the address or Street they were on.  Spoke with 2 people, similar story... sponsord by Experian, my Phone # sold to them by Experian for custers in good standing.  Which is really not what they are looking for.  They want to reduce your debt if have a CC Balace of $4000 or more.
I asked them again where they were as the Phone # is from a non US country, they stated that it was an encrypted phone line (on a record line) - Yea Right!!  I mentioned that the US now has Laws about Robo calling and it was agains the law... Their Response, they are not selling anything, they are providing a benefit to "you" so, there is not any markeing, or selling or providing a service... - I think that the US Gov. need to Hammer down on these Scam Artists, they have been doing this too far long, and the responses they give are not too convencing any more.

Like everyone else when I received this call, I was suspicious of the phone number.  I spoke with someone who told me they would give me a lower interest rate on my Visa.  I don't even have Visa.  I asked him if he needed my Visa number and of course he said yes.  I didn't give it to him and hung up.
I called the Federal Trade Commission at 1-877FTCHelp.  I left a message and they did call me back.  They said they need people to call them or they can't do anything about it.  They said the call is from overseas.

Same here! The number called.. looked strange so I didn't answer. There was no message left on voicemail. Number called back about 5 minutes later. I answered and there was silence, then hang up.

Got the same number last night. I knew this could not be a phone number.
I just don't answer calls anymore when I see out of area, toll free number, blocked call, unknown company names, etc. It's got to be a way to stop these people from harrassing everyone. FTC or whomever needs to get on the job. People are just tired!!!!

Why do our phone companies ALLOW these calls to come through our phones?
