Received a call from  this number 201-224-7220 today the 9th July 2015. I answered it no one said anything want them to STOP!!

Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

Seriously 'Melissa', acting all butt-hurt over your OWN actions isn't going to fly here.

It is just common sense not to post your telephone number, email address, postal address or any other personal information on a public website. The site is not responsible for what you post and does state policies. Read what Frog Protection has kindly posted concerning Terms of Service and Legal Stuff (as per 800notes).

By doing so, you open yourself up (and this also applies to any other posters who think that by posting their information, the calls, texts, emails, etc, will stop, hate to tell you this but it won't) to possibly more spam. While the majority of posters, on sites like these, post to help others identify scammers and to share their frustrations, I am sure there are those will peruse the site for their own sick reasons.

You need to be vigilant and aware. Hopefully, your post will be removed.

Ever since the government started releasing cell phone numbers,  I get these annoying calls!  Never a VM left.  I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. Blocked now.

I do not know how they got my cell number. It must be a telemarketer as the same area code pops up on different numbers.
