called. they  left no message (as usual) as they  have called before. Sounds like they need some good old "Texas medicine" out behind one of our barns, Texas style.... come on down south you coward turkeys who will not leave a message or whatever. We are not intimidated by your kind at all.

How many times do they have to call to get the idea that I'm not interested,especially wen the don't leave a message. What kind of yahoos are they?

This moron keeps calling my number and when I answer no respond, these people need to be taught a lesson as not to call unlisted numbers and annoy ones privacy. Will not answer when this idiot calls again,

201-243-3418 Called. Tape recording. Calls come in many times daily recorded message to sell their medical alert system. Several other phone numbers also have taped recordings coming in daily, calling all day long on same topics, selling medical alert buttons or selling home security protection systems.

Sorry, I don't want these annoying calls. We are living on a very low fixed income and cannot afford any of these items. If we want something, we'll buy it in a store with cash, not from someone calling over the phone unsolicited. We are on the do not call list. But these recorded calls from telemarketing keep ringing us all day long. We don't want the calls or the devices...can't afford any of them. We live on a tiny, tiny fixed income that only covers food, shelter, utilities, and basic clothing and taxes. Stop, please stop the annoying calls. Will someone show us how to block these calls other than unplugging phones? The security home system service even came to our front door trying to sell us their system. Finally, at least the stranger at the door (frightening) because you don't know who's invading your home or is going to push in the screen door....but at least the stranger agreed we are too poor to afford the monthly payments. Thank...Goodness.. But please, please stop calling us. We don't want your product. We have been on the do not call list for years, but the calls keep coming in. During election times, it's the same calls plus the political calls. It's tempting to leave the phone off the hook when I get home and let the answering machine take messages when I'm in the yard.

Received call 8/27/13 at 10:03 am ID was MEMBER SERVICES.  I didn't answer and they didn't leave a msg.

"YOU ARE A TELEMARKETER, AND I DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY THAT USES TELEMARKETING AS A FORM OF ADVERTISING" (stolen from a comment on this web site -- I love it).  And do not answer name unavailable ever as calls are now starting to say that often.  Another comment from this web site says: When you press the number to have your number removed, all you do is confirm that your number is a working one.  Now I either block the numbers or I don't answer the phone at all.  Another comment was:  They sold your known active number to another scammer!!!  That is what they do when you call them back to opt out.  SO DON’T HAVE YOUR NUMBER REMOVED!

Let me explain my idea of ROBO CALLS. Each area code has 9,999,999 numbers fyi (7 digits). The program starts calling every number that it can in succession.  So they don't need to buy or obtain lists from anyone.  I am going to copy and paste and post this info for each number that calls me for this web site (9,999,98 numbers more to copy and paste to)

NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP THESE SCAMMERS AND LAZY COLLECTION AGENCIES (statute of limitations on debt:  http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/statuteLimitations.shtml)  who call everyone with the same name instead of looking up the right one and all we can do is block them or use call forward selective..  DNC does not work when they are robo dialing all possible random numbers. The authorities can not or will not help either.

So, just block them, DON'T ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS, and continue using this great site for information to be in control of your own home and cell phone calls.  If it turns out that you did not answer a call from someone you know (number not on this site), just call them back.  No problem.  It’s a lot of work that I do (checking the number on this web site, blocking the caller,  but at least I FEEL like I have a little control of the situation. Maybe I'm delusional.  Another smart person on this web site said to save it to your contacts as spam 1, then spam 2, etc. so you can just ignore the call.

Not only that but reputable charitable organizations don't solicit donations by phone.

So it's good advice to remember to just say no to anyone who solicits over the phone unless you actually know the person calling.

After getting a bunch of these calls, earlier this week I called back.  I got a recording to press 1 to be added to the do not call list.  I pressed 1, a reply said to allow 24-48 business hours for processing.  I wondered if I did the right thing then the calls stopped yesterday and none today so I guess it worked.  Just thought I'd pass this on as it was an easy fix.

These people have another number 908 583-1813 with ID Linden NJ.  They have also used a New York number, but I lost that one.  Seems when they get a little heat with one number, they just mve to another number using the same old robo-dialer.

I bought a digitone call blocker and I keep track of the area codes that the nuisance calls come in from, if I get more than 3 or 4 calls from the same area code, I block the whole area code. (Such as this one (201) I don't sell the Digitone.com but am passing this on as useful info. Blocking individual numbers  is a waste of time since marketers work their systems to use phony random numbers that show up on your caller ID. That is the nice feature about this blocker as it can also block all 800 and unavailable calls too. - Eventually I will have blocked all area codes except those that I know are friends out of my area. - Hope this helps someone.
