I got the same call. They left the same message. They don't ask for you by name!

Received a call from this number (201-299-4795) today. Caller left message "expecting a call from you or your attorney at
888-732-5818" There was no info about who they were calling for, no company name, or caller name. Sounded like a
pre-recorded robo call. Also seems like I've received calls like this before from several different numbers.

I received a call from this number (201-299-4795) today from Paul Mason with NARG stating that he expects me or my attorney to call him back. A week or 2 ago I got a message from someone at Evans and Associates from 501-201-0119. basically stating the same thing.  They must be connected.

I got the same message as people above - definitely a scam.

I got the same message as people above - definitely a scam. Reads out as a New Jersey number: 201 area code - but the message leaves the 888 number everyone else here mentions.

Just received a call from Paul with the same messages as the previous posters.   No real information provided about what company they're representing or who they were calling for

(201 299 4795) Just received a call from "JennaLee" with northern recovery about outstanding matters. gave me an 800 number and hung up.

Got a call from 201-299-4795 a few days ago, Message from Paul something or other, same as others "expecting a call from you or your attorney" blah,blah blah, "call 888 732-5818" Didn't say who he was calling for, didn't say what company he was calling from. Then a call from the same number (201-299-4795) from Lindsey Shaffer who says she's a private courier, "make yourself available tomorrow between 12-5 to sign for legal papers" blah,blah,blah. But wait...."if you want to stop service call 888-732-5818"
Again, no info about who she's supposedly calling for, or the company she is supposedly calling from. Everything about this says SCAM. Don't fall for it.

I'm in California and on Tuesday Jan 3, 2017 received a call from: (201) 299-4795, I didn't recognize the number and let it go to voice mail.  voice message from a male Paul Mason regarding a private matter. He did not address me by name nor mention who he was representing. Asked me to return his call at: (888) 732-5818.
Thursday Jan 5, 2017 received two voice messages from the (201) 299-4795 number, by a female saying that she was a courier and needed me to be home on Friday between 12 noon and 5 pm to sign for important documents. To stop the courier delivery I would have to call: 888 732-5818. Again i was never addressed by name, nor was a creditor named. I saw everyone's posts here and decided to report my encounters.

This is a scam. Lindsey Shaffer calling regarding legal documents.

Caller left vague information about a legal matter….Asked that I make myself available afternoon the following next day… Pretty transparently a scam.

Received a call from Lindsay Shaffer stating that someone needed to be available between 12 and 5 tomorrow to sign for documents for a courier. Left the 888 number for me to call the filing party. Good luck with that because neither of those things is happening.

Be available blah blah.  No name.  No company answers with a name in call back.  BLOCKED

Received call today from 201-299-4795, supposedly located in Kearny, NJ.  Unidentified caller (female voice) left the following message: "Have any questions or you want to place a stop order on the service you must contact the filing party at 888-732-5818 again the number is 888-732-5818."   Call is apparently a variation of the scam others have noted.

Unidentified caller (female voice), did not give her name, didn't say who she was calling for, didn't say what company she was calling from, just said she's a private courier, "make yourself available tomorrow between 12-5 to sign for legal papers." If I want to stop courier service call 888-732-5818. Just a few minutes before this call I got a call on my cell phone from the same number with the same message. I happened to be home the following day but no one came to deliver legal papers.
