received a call on my cellphone. but quickly disconnect after 2 rings. I suspect  it is an automated number to confirm working number before life person follow up. Don't reply the number which gives them confirmation that your number is correct.

Spam call. Dont answer it.

Called me at 8:30pm.  Rang once and hung up.  No message.

Same as other reports:
Called my cell phone, rang one time & quit - no message. However, I did not call back since I didn't recognize the number.
Checked the number on google & found it's coming from Hackensack, NJ.

Rang 1 time .   No message annoying.

One ring and that's it...i get calls from various area codes all the time, I don't recognize the #, I don't answer it, I move on

What is the point of being on the National Do Not Call list when the Federal Trade Commission apparently has no authority to act against the violators.  I file complaints about the calls I get only to get twice as many calls from the number I complained about.  

Just got a missed call, but they left no message.  It looks like it's from Hackensack, NJ.  Probably spam since so many reports.

The DNC works just fine. It is for telemarketers only and honest business does indeed abide by it. It is the criminals (which includes illegal telemarketers), frauds and scammers that do not. However, the Fed. DNC does not cover some survey's, Political or Charities.  You would need to check your states DNC laws to see if these are under your states DNC laws.  The fact remains that they are not automatic call blockers though and can not protect you from the calls that are criminal, illegal or fraudulent.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Got a call from this number today at 11:32 am CST. One ring and hung up. No message left.

iPhone users: Create a contact id called "Spam" or "Telemarketer" or similar. Block this id. Then add the number of this caller and any others you want to block to this contact. No need to set up a separate contact for each spam id. You can block an unlimited number of calls this way. Your phone wont ring; Neat & simple. Add the next spam #, and the next, and the next, to this single contact. No need to pay Verizon to block numbers for you.

Rang twice and hung up. I didn't answer but I have also had someone logging into my Facebook from New Jersey and I'm from Illinois. It showed active sessions in New Jersey and now this call.

Who cares? What the a***s are doing is illegal too. I say break out them rubber hoses!!!

Just received a call. CAlled it back, recording saying i was eligible for a $100 blah blah....blocked it.
