This one called.. and was breathing on the phone, like she was a telemartketer, and didn't want to make the next call.  Google search said it was Dial america.. telemarketers for magazines

This marketing group says they got my name from a magazine I subscribe to, and named the magazine. That is very odd because I never put my actual phone number on anything like that-- I use an online VM at k7.net.

They claimed they were "helping out" Mothers Against Drunk Driving by raising money for them. when I asked how much their company was going to donate, the rep corrected my misunderstanding: THEY weren't giving any money, they wanted ME to give it. Since they aren't "helping" and are getting paid for their "help," I declined to participate until they do.

To be absolutely fair, the rep NEVER tried to pull anything like the frequent scammers I get calls from. This is a legit marketing group.

I dont mind Dial America calls. In my opinion, they are a reputable organization... They hire people with disabilities and they support charitable fundraising for The American Cancer Society, Special Olympics, etc... But they always call multiple times EARLY in the morning. We work late and this has proven to be a real pain in the butt.  I've had to ask them to remove my phone number... too bad.

PLEASE stop this number from calling.  I am 70 and dont need to be running to get a phone call that is harassing me.    I cannot afford anything being on SS.  Thank you

This is certainly DialAmerica. If you have magazine subscriptions that have expired the companies turn it over to them to solicite you to renew. Occassionally they try to sell you some other subscription instead. They bug me all the time. Unfortunately I think they can call you because of your affiliation with a magazine.

This is a call center, they may have been hired by a company you do business with such as a bank  (wanting to offer insurance on your card or one of their (business associates like insurance companies ) a charity or political group, all of these are not covered by the do not call list.  If you do business with a company or given them permission to share your information with their business partners, unless you chose the no option if offered, it is not covered by the DNC list.

If you read the website for the do not call list, it tells you what is not covered.

The callers have no idea if the company donates money to the cause, nor do they know how much the call center takes out of the donation for their time.

I never give to charity from a cold call, the call centers usually get more than 50% of the money raised.  If you want to donate to a charity, call that charity personally or go to their website to donate.

These call centers are for hire, they make calls for thousands of different companies or charities, it isn't just a call center for one business.

These people call my home every day at least once. Caller ID shows Dial America Mkt. I let the call go to my answering machine and they hang up - never leave a message. Their web site brags about how they "comply with federal regs" and never receive complaints. Yeah, right.

Called me this morning waking me up after I went to bed at 6 AM. I didn't answer. They call again and wake me up again. Did this for a week now. When I do answer I am asked about health care but it is a machine talking to me. Just added myself to the DNC list again. I am sick and tired of being called and being woken up. I hadn't had any sleep because of this.

I called the number and it tells me it is a Non Profit Organization. So that is great. The DNC won't work. So I called the 800 number and a lady answered and I asked her to remove me from their contact list. Lets see if it works as I would like some freaking sleep. Turning my ringer off is not an option in case there is an emergency and I would like my line open. -_-

Unless you removed yourself from the Do Not Call list, re-adding your number opens you up to sales calls for 30 days.  Being on the list is permanent once you register your number. You also must understand that only callers attempting to sell you goods or services from companies you do not have a business relationship with are covered.  Since you need to be a day sleeper the best suggestion is to turn off the ringer on your phone and let your answering machine handle calls unless you need to answer important calls while you sleep.  Friends and family should be aware of your schedule and know not to call during your normal sleep times.

Called This number 800.318.6611 and asked to be removed from their calling list.  I will see if it works.

Dial America - Stop calling please.  We are on the DO NOT CALL LIST.  Why do you call?  Please remove our phone number from your robo-calling system.

You need to tell your caller that when they call.  This is a discussion board,  not a call blocking service.

It's DIAL AMERICA again and again and again. Thank goodness for caller ID. Don't even answer.

The National Do Not Call Registry is bogus.  It does nothing.  In my opinon it's just a bogus number setup by whomever to appease people, when in fact it just peeves people, cuz we are still unindated with mindless telemarketing calls.

These people are calling daily. I am on Do Not Call Registry which is a joke!  201 373 8321 comes on my caller ID as Dial America. Some days they call multiple times. I have called FTC in Washington and filed a complaint on the telemarketers with the numbers I have!
