Some loan telemarketer with a recording: "Hi. This is a courtesy call from your financial department, and after reviewing your recent payment history, we do have a lender that can approve you for the one percent interest rate on the thirty year loan. Please press one now to speak with your financial department. Or press three now to be removed."

Yup, I've received this one about a dozen times too, the recordings are very annoying especially if you want to get off the list. You don't know if you press 3 if they'll do nothing...much like email spam and 'unsubscribe'.

"After reviewing your recent payment history, we do have a lender..." I've received this call about a DOZEN times on my fax line, which I hadn't previously added to the national do-not-call list. (I added that number about a week ago.)

Isn't there a law that prevents auto-dialers anyway? I seem to recall a Simpsons episode about that.
