did not answer, blocked caller

Called today,didn't leave a message.

Called while I was away.  No message.

They called my work and asked to speak to someone who hasn't been with the company for about 3 years. I told them she was no longer w/ the company, and then when I asked, "May I ask who's calling" they immediately said "No, that's okay" and hung up.

Scam / no scam what's the difference? Would you do business with any jokers who do business this way? My mother didn't raise too many stupid children and i wasn't one of them. Go ahead, talk to them, call them and then say goodbye to your identity and every penny you had.

Similar to call listed above. Said they represented the dealer (they named it correctly) where I got my  car,  said I took good care of it then proceded to ask how many miles were on my car.  At this point I excused myself from the call; will be putting on blocked list.

States can sell DMV information, NY made $48 billion in 2000 doing it.
A telemarketer can easily know the name of the dealership where you bought the car, along with the make/model and your personal info.
