It's a random number generator and probably will do no good to block it. I have been writing them down and there's just too many. Here's a thought. If 800notes.com created an app which uses their own database too block numbers that we enter, they could make millions. I would pay a dollar for that. Just a thought.

Another scammer/spoofer number that went active today.  Called my cell phone.  "This is a public service announcement regarding your electricity bill."

Been getting calls all day from unfamiliar numbers. Didn't answer this one either. Looks like I'm not alone.

I would pay for that too! Got the same call, and I too have given up blocking them all.

Same thing just happened to me.

I am so insanely sick and tired of receiving many unknown calls from local numbers.  The Do Not Call list is a joke; they do NOTHING to stop these vapid trolls from acquiring many numbers.  It's harassment, plain and simple, and nobody does anything to stop them.  Infuriating...

I will be answering next time, as my towns police department.  Tried once before, and they stopped calling.

Caller id from Oradell, NJ.  This is a urgent pulblic service announcement.  Right.  Blocked the number, but they use different numbers.  It's a pain.
