- Roy replies to MeIt *IS NOT* a common practice of recruiting firms or any company that randomly contacts by phone or email to request any part of your social. Only companies that place NO VALUE on financial security hire IT people dumb enough to think this information should be asked for in email and over the phone.
ANY strange company that asks for any part of your social should be assumed to be a scam or so incompetent you should not give them any information.
I worked at a company that would ask for SS#s when issuing parking permits for the campus. I wrote a fake one down. In the months that followed I was able to use my mouse and find over 40,000 ss#, names, phone addresses, driver license #s left unsecured for years on shares. Everything needed to destroy people's lives. If a real company's IT dept is dumb enough to use any part of social as an ID, they are dumb enough to risk your financial security.. I know if ID theft ever happens to me, that company will be my #1 suspect. - StephanieI just got a phone call from this number and all I could understand was "job offer". The woman had SUCH a thick accent. I paused a few seconds after she was done speaking and I said "umm I'm sorry but I didn't understand a single word you just said" so she repeated it and again all I understood was "job offer" and "California". I told her I live in Pennsylvania and she said something about Monroeville, which is a town near me so I'm assuming its a California based company with an office near me with a recruiter in New Jersey....Anyway I just said no thank you and that I already found employment since I couldn't understand what she was saying.
- Ms. Concerned| 1 replyI just received an email from a Matt Sachdeva from US Tech Solutions, Inc. located at 10 Exchange Place, Ste. 1820, Jetsey City, NJ tel # 201-524-8600 ext 643 re. a contract legal position for 5 months. However, what I found strange was that the email was sent at 7pm and normal business closing hours for recruiting offices are much earlier. So I decided to call and when I first started talking to him it was almost as if he were surprised that I actually called! It also sounded like he immediately covered the speaker part of the phone and was speaking to someone else. He did this for a few moments then came back to the phone asking what he could help me with. When I asked him a couple of questions about the position, as he spoke it was as if his voice kept fading in and out! Although he had an accent, his English was fine. However, it was as if someone else was next to him doing something to him where he felt the need to keep covering up the speaker part of the phone and is why I had trouble understanding him. I almost want to say, it was as if he was laughing with someone else who was next to him! I thought that perhaps it might have just been me or something. So at that point I proceeded to ask the only other question I had and it was to advise what the offering rate was for the position because for whatever other reason he was unable to answer my other questions! However, he returned to the phone and provided me with a quote for the position but as he was telling me he then bursted out laughing, covered the phone again and I could tell he was speaking to someone else, then came back on only to apologize, but immediately bursted out laughing and covering the phone again! I immediately hung up and I guess he had my tel number on his caller ID because he actually had the nerve to call me back only to insist to speak with me and believe it or not he was chuckling as he spoke! I told him that what he was doing was a complete scam and that if I find out for sure that he and the company are fraudulent in any way, and if the information they have on me is misused in any way, that I would seriously further investigate this matter and that it wouldn't stop there!! I then hung up!
I then decided to google their tel no and this site came up!
It's just completely unfreaken believable the lengths a scam artist will go through to steal your identity and God knows what else!
Also, similarly to a posting listed above where a recruiter spoke with an individual and asked for their DOB/last 4 digits of their SSN is another occurrence that just happened to me too! Obviously, I didn't provided them with that info. and I thank God that I'm old enough to know that you absolutely NEVER EVER have to give that type of info to ANY recruiter via email or telephone! However, what I fear is knowing that there's so many young people out there looking for work and don't know that this type of info is NOT required via email/phone and they give it to these creeps! This is one of the biggest reasons I'm sharing my story with this page and hope that it can help someone else out there!
With that being said, if you're reading this, please educate your children, family and friends on what's happening out there to help precaution them! Spread the word if you care...please!

- Me replies to cle, ohthis is not a debt collector. It is an unemployment agency that offers contract work , which is usually located in a different state. The problem is I think that they are gathering information to find out the last contract position you were at in order to get a contract with that company usually offering very very low contract wages. When I told them I was not a fit for a job they sent these people emailed me the same job and added in what I was looking for. The lady is desperate to get to my resume and probably my address. If they are asking or socials , signature of contracts, or SS # they are for sure a good SCAM
- Me replies to Ms. ConcernedRecruiters call you at all times of the night and email you. I have worked for years working as a contractor , so some of the things you are saying are not true. I have worked in various States for years, and there are some legit recruiters . But, this particular one is not

Of course i check out any company who contacts me about a job. Their administrative assistant job seems fun.
Its a lot, but it looks like fun and i just want to be doing my research before i reply. Since i just got the e mail today, im sure they won't mind if i respond tomorrow or the next day(since i got it this evening and was about to go to bed when i got it but want to get back asap so im staying up a lil longer to get started and organize what aspects to continue researching from their for tomorrow) so i can do a little research but also not cut into the other important research im doing.
Anyway... im not sure if they are serious or not and i don't play games with this sort of thing.
Anyway, in this instance i just want to ask. Has anyone else gotten an email instead of a phone call? I need sleep as every other human being on this planet does at some point or another and Ive hit my limit and been pushing it. I don't like the productivity or quality of such research when im this tuckered out ... so im asking, which is another really good way to get some direction and fill in some variables etc etc etc... asking. It also sometimes speeds things up as well, and since im doing even more research than i normally do and im working hard to find some things out for someone else... imma put some trust that this will at least pan out a little bit.
Companies often in the united states ask for social security numbers to verify your identity however they should never do this unless your hired, though its common practice for staffing companies to do so because then they basically have you technically hired and ready to be called in when they have something for you to do. I will need something a little more than whats said here in regards to identity theft. Can anyone please expand on their experience in why they are accusing this company of being a means of identity theft? That would be worlds helpful. Thank you in advance.
Has anyone here worked for this company at all? Has anyone ever been called in for any jobs with them? If not, how long was it and do you know anyone who has been called? As a recruiter or any other position since their are people here saying that the company does recruiting? It is a staffing agency according to the bio of the company.
Has anyone had any specific problems or concerns besides what has been already said? Would anyone like to expand on any of the issues they have had and shed some light on these issues such as what they feel was wrong and how they feel it could have been handled or even if it was handled?
I just started with getting a feel for this company and anything you answer just kick starts my research tomorrow or the next day.

- jme9570218 replies to Me| 2 repliesNever-Never-Never give out SS #. No legitimate recruiting firm asks for that information. You are categorically incorrect about that being a " standard " procedure.
- annieRecruiters use partial personal information as a means of record keeping, especially if it's a staffing agency that works with clients across the country. They should only ask for this information after you have agreed to be presented to a specific job. They should never ask for your full birthdate or social security number. That is only something you would give when filling out onboarding paperwork. I've worked with a few staffing agencies who aren't local to where I live. Asking for your birth month and day ONLY is common practice.
- bobSo I have been in contact with a rep from a temp agency I've used before about jobs with a company I really want to work for. Today I recived a call from this number with detailed information about the company I want to go to and they got my information from the temp agency I've been in contact with. I checked the spam folder in my Gmail account and I had two emails from ustech, which was placed in my spam folder because they were sent in a language other than what my emails normally have.(english) looks like a big scam to me. I'd say stay away from this.
- ScottThis number is for US Tech Solutions, LLC., a staffing agency out of New Jersey. I live in Arizona and they keep calling me for job opportunities here in Arizona, that are also available through employment agencies that have local offices. As others have pointed out, these people generally have nearly unintelligible Indian/Pakistani-type accents. They use a central number with separate phone extensions for the individual "recruiters". They start calling me again every time I update my resume on Monster.com and CareerBuilder.com sites or make said resume postings "public" again. Something that I did last week, which also started the "bottom-feeder" frenzy of solicitations from various insurance companies to become a franchisee, as well as calls/emails from dubious staffing services from New Jersey, Virginia, and Wisconsin, who can't seem to speak intelligible English.
That being said, a call about 2 hours ago from a female recruiter of US Tech Solutions for a Hardware Test Technician opportunity, who actually spoke slowly enough that her speech was understandable in the voice mail she left. She indicated that the position was with Honeywell and that she had also sent an email with the job description. About 15 minutes later, my call blocking app notified me of another blocked call from this number and notification of another voice mail. This time the caller was male, speech not nearly as clear but I made out that the position he was soliciting for was with Intel. They DO request that you sign an "Right to Represent" exclusivity agreement, your MM/DD date of birth, and SSN last 4.
Needless to say, I did not receive emails from either caller because I added their email domain to my "blocked sender" list, last year. My actions are based on the fact that every positin that they have contacted me for has been "old". By that I mean that the position are ones that I have already applied to through a local staffing agency at least 1-2 weeks prior to their contact; or... the position was a job requisition that had already been filled/cancelled before their contact. Additionally, especially in the case of Honeywell Aerospace opportunities, I happen to know for a fact that Honeywell DOES NOT use "US Tech Solutions, LLC", as a source of contract labor. So, like their "data mining" of Monster.com and CareerBuilder.com (and Careerbuilder's speciality sites), it appears that they are copying job requisitions from these sites or from Mega-sites like Indeed.com to use in their emails. I have not found/seen anything to convince me that they are a legitimate staffing organization, so I block their calls/emails and do not waste my time returning the contact.- Caller: US Tech Solutions, LLC

- AnnoyedI have received 2 phone calls in the past hour from this company. I have visual voicemail on my cell phone so I was able to see the first part of the message. The first message said Hi Rita and the second message said Hi David. Ummm neither of these are my name!! I am not even looking for work, I am employed. I will be calling these people back when I have a minute and then blocking their number since I am on the DO NOT CALL List. If they continue I will pursue legal action. This is a scam!
- MeekyFake recruiter with a heavy Indian accent.
- unknownThe voice was so faint and annoying it sounded like a scam because the voice was so inaudible.
- me| 1 replyIt is hard enough to be out looking for a job again especially after being laid off. Now that everything is done online in regards to finding a new job, it's very sad, disappointing and is pissing me off that now we have to deal with people like this, that tried to scam you. My phone rings constantly, but I will not answer the phone if I don't recognize the number or if there's no caller ID. The only time I will return the call is if a message is left. I could be missing a very important call due to all these jack ass scammers that are calling....they need to start hunting there creeps down. ..

- DaveJust got a call from this number. When you have your resume out on the job boards (Monster, CareerBuilder, etc.), it's out there for the legit and the not-so-legit recruiters. I do my best to only deal with recruiters in my local area that I can actually go and visit at their physical office location. I would not recommend dealing with out-of-town recruiters; especially ones who call and have Indian sounding voices. I've been working with one of my local recruiters for the last two weeks and he was able to land me a full-time permanent job that starts tomorrow. Praise God!

- Dave replies to meOh, I also meant to mention to be careful calling some of these numbers back. There is a scam going around if you call back certain numbers with certain "area codes", you get charged like $20 just for calling that number. I believe there is info about this on Wikipedia. Bottom line is this: if you do not recognize the number and they do no leave a message, I would not bother with it and tell your smart phone to put that phone number on the spam/reject list.
- DavidI made the mistake of sending them my resume after they stated they were a recruiter with an impressive looking job in my city. I researched them a bit and found this site so I have not responded. They have called at least 8 times today and all of the sudden do not seem like a respectable institution. I would recommend you do not give them any personal information.

- DAS BoatYes, They tried me too. (April 22, 2015) around 5pm est. The lady was Indian and paused several times while trying to describe her job opportunity for a CNC Programer position in my home state. I did not answer after seeing the call originated in New Jersey and let it go to voice mail. She also said that she emailed the job to my inbox. I got curious about the number and ended up here! WOW!!! Thanks for the info! I have since blocked this number!
Be cautious fellow job hunters! Do your research and be safe with your info!
