- ReannaI work during the day and sleep during the night, like any other hard working person does. These people call me while I'm a work, they never leave a message. They call me during dinner, several times. They never leave a message and hang up when I answer. They call me at 4:00am when I am trying to sleep, waking me up. I can't sleep any more because they call over and over again. Someone needs to put a stop to this. If you call someone and you don't get an answer, leave a message! Grrrr it's so annoying.

If it's so important when they call, they should learn how to leave a message. Or not call any more. I am tired of it, it costs me money on my cell phone for a long distance number to continuously call me. I don't have the very best cell phone plan either, so come on why call a cell phone? Shessshhhh >.< - AxshunAceToday Google Money Tree contacted me. They have been trying for the last 3 days (I would not answer because I did not recognize the phone number 201-918-4865). They would try to call about every 10 min. When I did answered the phone, the telemarktr immediately started reading a script to me, I tried to interrupt her to ask a question, but she kept reading, when she did stop reading, she very sternly told me that the phone call was being recorded…... WHAT!? (ok, I am totally turned off at this point!) what?... she thought I was giving her a hard time because I wanted to ask a question?! WHO OPERATES A BUSINESS THIS WAY? Well you can do what you want with this business, but it’s not for me!

This is a computer generated phone call, when you pick up the phone the line sounds dead. To get rid of this annoying phone call, when you pick up, you may need to wait 10-15 sec. and someone will start talking (reading from a script). Tell them immediately to put your number on the NO CALL LIST. You may have to say it three times, but if you say nothing else, they will get the message. - Frustrated!! replies to ShawnaI'm having the same problem here in South Dakota! They keep calling, and calling, and calling...
- JillI keep receiving phone calls from 201-918-4865 repeatedly. I won't answer because I don't the number. They've called me 5 times in less than 15 minutes. How do we stop these calls?
- les2saw replies to Shawna| 1 replyI've been hanging up on these guys for the passed two hours, finally I picked up, said nothing (on call 18) then again they hung up. About 5 minutes later I was called back and there was a live human being on the phone - turns out it's a marketing company from "Google Money Tree" that someone very kindly signed me up for on line - a "make money from home scheme". I have reported them to the DNCR in Canada and have put a block on my phone but the number that comes up is bogus. In Canada if you do a call trace - the information is not given to the person being harassed, rather it goes to the RCMP so I am unsure that I will go that route.
- ChokedThis number has called 18 times in the LAST HOUR!!!! What can I do to stop it......GEEZE,theres the phone AGAIN!!!!!!
This is purely harrassment!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!- Caller: Google money tree...????....
- Meatball replies to 323lara| 1 replySame here. Received about 15 calls in the last 24 hours from them, and they're always asking for "Christine". Not my name, tell them they have the wrong number and then they kick off into some marketing pitch. I've hung up or told them to stop calling me and then hung up every time and they keep calling.
I've submitted a complaint to the FCC, you all should too.
http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm - maryTHey keep calling me although I told them do not call me. I am not interested of your service and IF I change my mind I WILL call you.
AND they still calling me they called me 6 time from 7:30 am to 9:55 am ?- Caller: i think from google
- Call type: Telemarketer
- TLM replies to CalWolfOf course, you can register a complaint with the FCC, which has authority to cite violators. But the truly happy news here, Dear Reader, is that the TCPA gives you and me the right to sue if the telemarketer calls us in violation of these statutory or regulatory restrictions:
A person or entity may, if otherwise permitted by the laws or rules of court of a State, bring in an appropriate court of that State-- (A) an action based on a violation of this subsection or the regulations prescribed under this subsection to enjoin such violation, (B) an action to recover for actual monetary loss from such a violation, or to receive $500 in damages for each such violation, whichever is greater, or (C) both such actions.
If the court finds that the defendant willfully or knowingly violated this subsection or the regulations prescribed under this subsection, the court may, in its discretion, increase the amount of the award to an amount equal to not more than 3 times the amount available under subparagraph (B) of this paragraph.
47 U.S.C. § 227(b)(3). Note, however, that such suits cannot be brought in federal court, even though these are federal laws. (For an explanation, see this very detailed article.) Instead, they must be brought in the court of a "State," which includes D.C.: "The term 'State' includes the District of Columbia and the Territories and possessions." (47 U.S.C. § 153(40))
In my research in preparation for suing the pantaloons off of ARS, I learned that D.C. has its own anti-telemarketing law, which says this:
It is an abusive telemarketing act or practice and violation of this subchapter for a seller or telephone solicitor to engage in the following conduct:
(1) Cause a telephone to ring more than 15 times in an intended telephone solicitation call;
(2) Initiate a telephone solicitation call to a consumer after the same consumer has expressly stated that he or she does not wish to receive solicitation calls from that seller; or
(3) Engage in telephone solicitation to a consumer's residence at any time before 8:00 a.m. and after 9:00 p.m., local time at the place of the consumer called.
D.C. Code § 22-3226.08. While D.C. law also provides for a private right to sue for violations, unfortunately it does not set a minimum amount of statutory damages (unlike the TCPA's minimum of $500 per violation). - HeidiAI have received 6 calls this morning from this number, the calls started @ 9:07 a.m. and have been about every 21 minutes...Who is this, and how do I get them to stop calling me?

- MJSilly me, signed up to get info on Google Money Tree via CashCrate. Now they have been calling non-stop. Yesterday, I told them I wasn't interested and hung up on the guy as he continued to give his spill. It was like I said, please, call me some more and more often. I've only been home for about an hour, and they have called 3 times during that time.

- JulieThese people call me every day starting earlier this week. They call as late as 10:00 my time. (I'm in Washington state and the call ID says New Jersey!) They call many times a day and when I do pick up, there is nobody there. When I let it go to the answering machine, it's just a loud dial tone. I've never called back because I fear they will charge me for it.
