- anonymous replies to DanielTHIS IS AN EXTORTION SCAM. Scammers pretend to be law enforcement (police, sheriff, Feds, AG's Office, fake cop agencies with made-up names) and may be using bought/hacked loan application data to extort money for fictitious crimes or extort personal info.

Well he contacted my mother-in-law and told her that he needed to be in contact with jeff today in reguards to a fraud crime. My husband and I called the number his mother gave us and asked "Giles Luis" what this was for and he went on to explain in accent that he was from the district attorneys office and that if we didnt send him money by 2:30pm today he was submitting the docket to have my husband prosecuted. Something just didnt sound right to me because as far as i knew it was still illegal for debt collectors to call in a threatening manner, let alone what this man was doing. So I googeled WCCI and discovered this page which explained exactly what this guy said to my husband on the phone. We never wired him what he wanted and told him that we knew he was a scam and that we reported him to the FBI. The man then hung up on my husband so my husband called him back and "Giles Louis" then said "do not call me anymore or you will be arrested for harrassment". We have since tried to call the number back and we get no answer. Possibly trying to change number as we speak.
- Yvettei received a call today from someone claiming to be from the Law Office of WCCI from the # 202-706-6169 by the name of Oliver. He said threatning things to me about finding me and arresting me for negligence and for a hot check. i have no idea of the extent of the law but the felony he was screaming scared the crap out of me. I started googling the name and number and found this site. I asked for him to send me something in writing and that i was going to contact my lawyer but he then started yelling at me. I rather not send my money via money gram to him i rather speak directly to the business and settle this matter. Wow what people will do.

- LucyYesterday I got a call from WCCI, a Mr. Travis Sullivan. He also called my 78 yr old mother and told her "I was in big trouble". I called him back and he threated to have me physically picked up on bank fraud charges for a pay day loan unless I paid in the next 2 hrs. VERY, VERY RUDE and upsetting as I am a nurse and could not deal with this at work. I sent via Western Union $100 and was put on a "hardship" agreement to pay the balance of $479.00. I am sick as I just decided to google this company and discovered all these posts! They upset my mother and put me through hell while I was trying to work and take care of patients. Also, I lost $100 of hard earned money that should have been for my family. Boy....I feel really stupid. Don't let this happen to you.

- Rob replies to LucyWell, this scam can be so believable. Of course, you won't be sending them any more money, but these people do have a habit of trying to rip you off again, so be prepared. Just so you know, there is no way they would arrest you for an upaid loan of any type. Also, let your mom know that if anyone ever calls her again, to hang up. If they call repeatedly and harass her, press # and * and keep hanging up. You could also get a her a metal whistle, and tell her if anyone ever tries to threaten her or you or ties to extort money out of you again, she should blow the whistle in their ear as many times as it takes. You cannot be a victim if you don't let yourself be, and she needn't put up with their BS either.
- TannerI live on the big island of Hawaii. Today, Martin Anderson of WCCI called me from Texas, saying a California prosecutor contacted him to find me about a payday advance incident and give me the whole "pay now or you will be prosecuted" schtick. Two years ago I was dumb enough to fall for this and sent over $500 to a company in Jacksonville Florida.
MARTIN ANDERSON is the name used. 832-377-3048 is the number.- Caller: WCCI

- JessicaI have had the same call from these people claiming to be a law firm. They also threatened me by saying if i didnt come up with $637.00 in three hours that I would be put in jail till my court date for a bank loan They first called my mothers phone and of course she was scared for me so she gave them my phone number and helped me pay half of it. I was also put on a "hardship" program until I could pay it off in the next week. At the time I was having a hard time. Im a mother of two small children, there father had just lost his job, and we were losing our house. Me the only one working was only making mimimum wage part time and had to give my whole check to these people claiming I owe them money. I tried talking to this law firm w.c.c.i.and explaining that I could not pay as much as they wanted me to a week and they threatened me with a felony offence. I finally noticed something was wrong when I asked him if I could get a copy of what I had been sending and he changed his story. The only info I needed he said was his phone number and my copy was the money grams that I had sent them from wal-mart. The number he called me from was 1-832-377-3048. I should have noticed something but he had all of my info. He had my address, my phone number, how much my loan was, even the last four of my social. I talked to a local lawyer in Kentucky finally and he assured me that no lawyer or any one at that could call and tell me that I would get in trouble for not paying a loan and if the company was real they would be in some big trouble. He also wanted me to talk to someone from the bank. I had done tried to talk to someone from my bank and no one could give me answers till finally I looked on this blog. If I had not looked here I would have continued to send this people money. I thank all of you for posting your statements. As soon as I seen your blogs I knew I had been robbed. And I kept thinking all these stories sound like mine. So I hope more people see these make sure you watch these phone numbers and these fake people. I lost $400 dollars I hope our blogs can save everyone else from being robbed.
