Final warning from the IRS that they are filing a law suit against me.

I received a call with a recording saying the IRS is suing me and to call a certain number. (This is such an obvious scam)

The IRS calls no one.  The only way you hear from them is through the mail.

Called us 9/9/16 stating they had sent us a letter and we must call them.  I  think they called several months ago.

I waited until I heard the message than returned the call and was actually able to speak to someone with a Middle European accent who admitted this was a scam. He still wanted me to give him information so he could take me off of his call list, really?  If you are able just block this number from your telephone or cell phone.I feel sorry for the elderly population that get these calls, it scares them to death!

Has called my office phone 3 times in the past 45 minutes.  so frustrating!!!!

They called asking for 1786.00 dollars scam dont give money

Recording stating an arrest has been issued due to me not paying IRS.

Got a call on my cell phone - did not recognize the number, so I did not answer. They left a message.  The exact text was:

Internal Revenue Service has files a lawsuit against you and an arrest warrant will be issued if you fail to communicate. For more information you can reach us back on 202-241-0229. I repeat 202-241-0229. Thank you.

I immediately reported this with the FCC - in the hope that they will quickly shut this number down - if they get enough calls about a number, they just might.

In case anyone questions the validity of this, they did not state my name (big red flag). The IRS does not call you up by phone first - they send you a letter (according to the IRS's official website - again - red flag).  So, if a person from this number, or any other number, attempts to call you with threats like this, or just wanting you to pay - don't.  If you have any reason to doubt, and you had someone professionally prepare your taxes, call that person up.  Otherwise, call the IRS directly from a phone number located on IRS.GOV - and never from a phone number listed.

I never answer calls I don't know. listened to the message and it was only a man saying the number 202 241 0229, I repeat 202 241 0229. Received a call from 302 549 9997 twelve minutes before this call and the message stated law suit with Internal Revenue Service. Scam. Hope these people get caught.

Yeah he called me too. Another foreigner  was a bad American accent

IRS scam caller again. I really wish they would shut these idiots down. Why would the you? Anyway this is an obvious scam.

I need help reporting these the first time (warning foul language) I told him to F-off and stop calling he said you do the same [***] and hung up.
He proceeded to call back from 2 other numbers
called me a dirty [***] and then he asked if i think im sexy. The 3rd number he called me 4 times consistently when I didnt answer.

So I told them to arrest me. Better yet, I'll go down and write my own report as I turn my self in. I asked where he was calling from, he said Washington DC. I asked again from which company he said IRS.. I said that's odd I don't owe anyone anything and better yet, I have a clearance and work for the government.. pretty sure.. if I owed I couldn't have that clearance.  Huh? Ok so I'm going to run on down to the police station and turn myself in, give them this information and hope you and ur buddies get hooked up for terroristic threats over the phone.  Scamming people, elderly, disabled, vets, and the list goes on.  As I was saying all this he said.. ok Jennifer.. have a nice day and hung up..
