I didnt answer, and guy left a voicemail starting in mid-sentence. Said something about "taxable result in the nearest warranty", seems poorly structured sentence and very sketchy. IRS would send a legal notice I would assume.

Said he was an officer for the IRS.  Said the IRS was sueing me. I told him to stop calling and trying to scam people. Asked how we could correct this problem. He said we sent a letter to you, I said I have never received a letter please resend he said he could not!  That they would send a police officer to arrest me! I said go head I will be waiting!

Indian accent claiming I was being sued by the IRS for back taxes. I told him to call my CPA, and he got irritated and started yelling at me that they don’t talk to the CPAand they only deal direct with the taxpayer. So I asked him what my filing status was and he hung up on me.

Just got a call from this number. Called back and sad who's this what do you want. They asked to verify my name I re-asked what do you want. Can't understand through their poor English and accent what he wanted. This was "Eric Lopez" I think. He hung up on me after I assumingly frustrated him. I called back again and said why did you hang up on me and he denied he did. After him explaining there was a warrant and my taxes haven't been paid to the irs from 2012-2016 and saying if I don't resolve the matter I will "be arrested and put behind bars for 90 days" for not paying a $300-something amount to my local IRS-court / will need a criminal attorney he ended up hanging up again. I'm tempted to keep calling back and bugging them because there's no clear explanation of what they want other than someone to talk to lmao. Also they got my address completely wrong when trying to verify to me who I am. I didn't give them information but am wondering how they got what they do already have

Same deal as everyone else. It's scam about unpaid back taxes. I get these calls all the time from different phone numbers around the US and Canada. No matter if I block the call - they just call back using a different number.

Several times through the summer of 2018, I received calls to my cellphone from a robo-dialer, which left the following transcribed message:

(We are calling you about) "...tax fraud, and our investigating team of our Department are investigating you and your family.. We had tried to notify you about this issue in the previous 6 months,  but we had never got response from you. So it has been considered intentional fraud and lawsuit has been filed against your name by the United States government.

You may call our department on 202-241-0317...Thank you."

I have also received this same message from the following numbers:
      315-215-0134
      973-298-1844
      609-298-1844
      202-597-9359
      202-241-0317
Today I called all of these numbers back, and ALL of them are  restricted or DISCONNECTED..
