Fake Government Grant Scam.  Just called to say I have free grant money without ever going through the long process of filing an application for a gov't grant.  They aren't easy to get. This group claims you are receiving one for just being a good citizen.

Just got a call from these people claiming I received a grant for being a good citizen, when I was recently incarcerated, so I know it's fake don't trust it.I never even applied for a grant.

Have had 2 calls from this number in the past several days that I let go to voicemail. Claimed to be from the Soc Security Admin and said they were auditing my 1040. Said if I didn't call them back, they would initiate legal action. Big scam.

Don't call back.  It's a SCAM...big SCAM...the IRS doesn't call.  The fact that everybody got the same message should be a clue!  This is part of the infamous IRS scam.  It's complete and total NONSENSE.  The real IRS has been warning people about this for years.  Read here:

Scam!

The phone call came in on 202-241-0509 in the name of Donald Broome. First call I answered, second call he went to voicemail. Caller has a British accent too.

Phone call registers as "213-266-7363" on digital phone read-out although the caller gives the 202-241-0509 as the call back number

Cant we do something  keep calling him back tell him as is 066666666forinformation we should de able to herass. Him. Government  cant do nothing overseas. Keep on him so he cant  do this to orthers.

Scam irs calls coming from this number. DO NOT answer.... block them!

I called back just to mess with them.  I heard many others talking on the phone, so it's probably a boiler room..  I played it out till the end, when he said the only way I can pay them is to go to a CVS and buy a Green Dot card?? Or something like this, then call him back with the card number and a pin number you have to scratch off.  It was ridiculous. I can't believe anyone could fall for such a lame con!!!

Rdcvd two calls from this number stating I was having legal action against me for audit of 1040. I file taxes through accountant. They would not contact me. They would contact accountant. Total scam.
