The IRS has filed a lawsuit against your name. The local county sheriffs are going to arrest you for serious allegations. Before this matter goes to the courthouse and we freeze your bank accounts and get you arrested. For more information regarding this case you can get back to us at 202-241-0607. I repeat 202-241-0607. Make sure you give us a call back before you get arrested.- Call type: Scam suspicion
- SL** replies to SMRI just got the same message. Said your msg verbatim. Most definitely a scam. As if the IRS is going to send out an automated msg saying that you're going to get arrested. SMH...
- SL**Just call an automated call from this number. It threatened to have me arrested and freeze my bank accounts if I did not get back to them. REMINDER...the IRS will NEVER call you if you owe them money! (Which btw I do not.)

- JW| 1 replyCalled and said he was Officer John Martin (think Indian accent) gave a badge number stating I was being investigated by the IRS for underfiling my taxes and I owe money or I will have all my assets levied and go to jail. I entertained this call entirely too long to hear all of the scam. I then gave him my badge number and told him the call was recorded and has been reported a scam. The caller hung up.

- JBYep, same stupid scam. "We're going to call the sheriff and get you arrested." Sheriff? Get me arrested? Come on, scammers, you can do better than that. Or maybe not. H.L. Mencken was right, though: "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.” I do find it interesting the first instances of this number being reported here were from 2016. They're still using the same number? Brazen, if nothing else.
