Called, left automated voicemail about a "criminal lawsuit" scam. As reminder, if there is a real lawsuit against you, you will be served papers via registered mail or an official of the courts.

Called and left a message about a law suit,but was the same message from another number a few weeks ago

I got the same message, definitely a hoax.

Got the following message
"This message I need you or your retained attorney of records to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My phone number is 202-241-0607. Do not disregard this message and do return the call. Now if you don't return the call and I don't hear from your attorney either then the only thing I can do is wish you and good luck as the situation totally unfolds on you. Goodbye."

A mouth full of words to say the least.

Received a "robocall" from this number and it is an IRS scam. They left the following automatic voicemail w/female robotic voice:

The IRS has filed a lawsuit against your name. The local county sheriffs are going to arrest you for serious allegations. Before this matter goes to the courthouse and we freeze your bank accounts and get you arrested. For more information regarding this case you can get back to us at 202-241-0607. I repeat 202-241-0607. Make sure you give us a call back before you get arrested.

I just got the same message.  Said your msg verbatim.  Most definitely a scam.  As if the IRS is going to send out an automated msg saying that you're going to get arrested.  SMH...

Just call an automated call from this number.  It threatened to have me arrested and freeze my bank accounts if I did not get back to them.  REMINDER...the IRS will NEVER call you if you owe them money!  (Which btw I do not.)

Just received the same voicemail.  My message blocked out the first part of their message, but I was told to call the number before I got arrested.  BOGUS for sure.

Haha, great scam, telling me I need to call them "before you get arrested". I wonder how many dumb suckers fall for it. Most likely a lot of dummies call back or they wouldn't be robocalling. Remember folks, there's no scam without a sucker on the other side.

Called and said he was Officer John Martin (think Indian accent) gave a badge number stating I was being investigated by the IRS for underfiling my taxes and I owe money or I will have all my assets levied and go to jail. I entertained this call entirely too long to hear all of the scam. I then gave him my badge number and told him the call was recorded and has been reported a scam. The caller hung up.

I answered the call, not a robo call. Although I have gotten those calls today as well from 206-414-3360

Scam. This agency claimed to be with the IRS. threatened to arrest me, send sheriff, stating I committed tax fraud.

Got the same call - my son and I called back 6 times and said we were investigating the call and the police were on the line.  We called again and the number was unavailable!  SCAM!!!

Got the same call about 45 minutes ago.

Got the same robo call a few mi to ago saying I was going to be arrested and my bank account frozen. Wish there was a way to stop these people. I’ve got this call at various hours of the day. My parents got the same call at 2AM!

Yep, same stupid scam. "We're going to call the sheriff and get you arrested." Sheriff? Get me arrested? Come on, scammers, you can do better than that. Or maybe not. H.L. Mencken was right, though: "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.” I do find it interesting the first instances of this number being reported here were from 2016. They're still using the same number?  Brazen, if nothing else.

I am just like the others who have reported (before me).  Received a call (202-241-0607); indicating the IRS was dispatching a sheriff to arrest me.  Complete & utter b.s.

Received call 3 times in last 6 hours! Reported to local Police with voice mail, per their request! Do not call them back!
