- BeetleSame number called me. Same robot left a message. I was board so I called back. The same David Hoffman with the IRS answered the phone. I played along for a bit then got tiered of it, so I called him a low life looser and said get a life quit trying to scam people. The phone then was disconnected. I tried to call back with no answer finally got a message that the magic jack user was unavailable. Honestly I have no idea how any one falls for this scam.

- JasonPretty much the same as others have described. The number came up on my phone as a Suspected Spam Caller, so I didn't answer. About a minute later I got a notification that I had a new voice mail, so I checked it. The message, left by a robot, basically described how I was being charged with tax evasion and fraud and that I had 24 hours to return the call, or I'd be arrested. The reverse-lookup app I had on my phone told me that the call came from a person named "Freder Thompson" from DC.

- CherieI got the same irs thing everyone else did. I told the man that I've paid my taxes every year and that is happily send him copies of all of them, as well as stubs from my returns (i always get some amount of money back). I also told him that i didn't receive mail correspondence in regards to this matter, you always get a letter first. He hung up on me. Called him back twice and it went straight to voicemail...
