Just received the call from a girl with an Indian accent, saying that she is from Criminal Investigation office regarding IRS tax return for the past 10 years. She said that she is Jennifer McKall.  She gave me her ID number and the arrest warrant ID, and she said that local police will come to arrest me in 45 minutes if did not proide her more information. We called to police and reported this scam number. Don't reply to such cal if they call to your phone, and  please be advised by your police  what to do.

               Got a call from a man with a VERY thick accent, Indian I think. Said he was from Criminal Investigation Headquarters in D.C. Had to listen to it 5 times to get even a little of what he said. But, he said he was trying to reach E., and last name. E. was my husband who has been deceased for more than 13 years. Read the other posts, I hope something can be done.

Someone with a super thick accent called. It was very difficult to understand him, and in spite of showing a Washington DC area code, it was clear that he was calling from a busy crowded room full of callers. He mentioned an investigation, and tried to sound official, but instead, he sounded fake.

Thank you for explaining the methods of this scam and how to handle it.

My wife received a call yesterday from a girl with an Indian accent, saying that she is from Criminal Investigation office regarding IRS tax return for the past 10 years. She said that she is Jennifer McKall.  
Called back today just to talk to a man with Jamaican?? accent clamming to be a federal officer.
Threatened with arrest, but was not convincing at all.
Could not name an agency he is working for, just kept repeating that he is federal officer.
Asked him what is my name... of course he had no idea!
Fraud written all over!!!!
