got the call and decided it had to be a scam.I didn't waste my time calling back.

Got call from this number.The caller identified himself as IRS agent Bvahda Neru ? (very heavy indian accsent) Asked is he talking to .... ( my name )... I asked to repeat his name .He called me A- Hole and hung up. Reported Them to TIGTA.gov

"Officer Julie Smith" from "the IRS" claiming that there is an urgent matter I need to attend to - get this - "before further action is taken against me".  I owe no taxes, in fact had refunds consistently for over 10 years.  This is an old scare tactic that has been in the news plenty lately.  I have heard that if you return the call, they will try to scam you out of some money or threaten legal action against you.  DON'T RETURN THE CALL.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

They called me and left an automated message saying they were the IRS and I needed to call immediately before they take action against me. I called knowing it was a scam, asked him a whole bunch of questions, like his name,  badge number, supervisor name etc. He ended up hanging up on me after I told him he was crazy if he thought I believed him. I hope no one falls for this. I hate scams!

We received a call in regards to owing money to the IRS and he wants dr he name of our attorney. As my husband and I have never been audited filed yearly and have no back taxes this is something that is out of our realm
