FRAUD ALERT: The caller claims to be working for the US Grants Dept and offering $9000 from the Federal Reserve Bank in New York. They give you an authorization number and a phone number to call them back. When I asked them to mail it to me, they said many checks did not reach applicants, so they are offering it to you at local stores like Walmart. For fun I called the secondary number to see how far they would go. They asked me to call them when I'm at Walmart, in this case, and to bring my cell phone and ID and they would give me further details from there. And...I was to bring $250 for the registration voucher which would be refunded to me once I got the $9000. Yup - there it is! Bring $250 with you...fraud!! Beware!! The government doesn't give you money - especially like that!!!

This number keeps calling me. When I ask to be removed from their list, the man asks "Why?" When I say please don't call me again, he says, " I want to call you." It's harassment and very scary. Please stop this.

I have been getting calls from this # too. They dont leave any message. I just ignore them

I had the same phone call and they were very persistent and similar information.

Just got a call from 202-243-9231.  Instantly recognized that it was a scam and played along hoping to have some fun.  She must have realized my little reverse play because we were disconnected.  Next time I'm going to answer, "Homeland Security, how may I help you?"

robocall to my cell phone.  I pause for a few seconds before mumbling, "hello."  Seems to confuse the robocaller.  Dead air.  Looks like I didn't miss anything.

I previously blocked the number. When I checked my blocked voicemail I found they had left an entire minute of just heavy breathing and panting.

Wow!  Very disturbing tohave this number call me 5 times a day. Nobody ever says anything.

They have been calling me for months straight. BLOCK THEM. PATHETIC LOW LIFE.

I keep getting the call, but its not for me, its for Linda. I keep telling them they have the wrong number and to take my number off the list, and then they hang up. sometimes they call 3 times a day. Today, the person asked me why, and I advised I wanted to be removed, and he says but its important information for me. My response: how is it important information for me if I am not the person you are calling. Of course they hung up!

FRAUD ALERT Call it is robocall, then person comes on asks for me.They can hardly speak English, say they are with the US Treasury Department and I am one of 1700 people selected to receive a $9K Grant. They can process in one of three ways, Western Union, Plastic Card, or direct deposit into any kind of bank account. Would not give me any information about themselves, said I had to call their Account Manager to process and receive additional information. The number for the Account Manager was 201-749-1417.(did not call). Went and looked up number here and done. They had my address and my name.

That sounds like a good idea.

Called me twice today.  Decided to try and call back just for fun.  Shocker, I got a message that says "the subscriber you have dialed is not in service."  I'm hoping they try calling a 3rd time because I will have to play and have some fun with them

Got a call from # 2022439231 they been calling everyday I would always hangup. Today I decided to listen he said he was from the US grant dep. I know is a scam. What made me nervous is he knew my full name email and my home address.
