This number leaves a synthesized voice message claiming that the IRS is instituting a lawsuit against "you" (no name given). This is highly likely to be a scam. Called back four times, all clearly forwarded to an Indian call center. CLEC is PaeTec, not the ILEC landline carrier of DC, so obviously not actually IRS.

Scam- IRS filing a lawsuit.. IRS does not call.. They send certified mail only..

IRS scam, called me twice today. Do not return their calls. Report to FTC, IRS, and/or your state attorney general

Didn't pick up phone, so the automated system left a partially cut off voicemail to the tune of what the others have said on here...something about a case.

They called me 4 times today to my house starting at 8am.
Then they moved on to the business number.
Claiming to be the IRS and they was suing me. Scam.

A robocall warning me that they've been trying to reach me because the IRS is going to file a suit against me. It goes on to say that I must call them back immediately at this number.

At least this time they found a woman who speaks with an American accent. They don't actually say they are the IRS nor do they state my name. Clearly a pfishing scam.

Called claiming they're the U.S. Treasury and to avoid a federal offense to call 714-625-8980.
