Called me and said that my social security number would be suspended in 24 hours.  The officer then asked for my name.  I told him he called me so he should know my name.  He said he needed to verify it.  I informed him I knew it was a scam and he started cussing me.  Caller ID said US Government.

I didn't answer, but I never answer any numbers that come up here on 800 notes while the phone is still ringing.

They called me saying that they were the social security office and that there was illegal activity on my social security number in texas

Called with recorded message saying:
"We found some Fraudulent and Suspicious activity related to your Social Security number  - we are suspending your social security number on immediate basis and a arrest warrant has been issued against your name. IF you need to cancel this arrest warrant kindly speak to one of our on duty officers - To speak to an  officer press  1"

Sounded like a computer generated voice - sounds like they also did not have complete sentence structure since you would expect it to say "on AN immediate basis"

***They will never suspend your social security number and will not have an arrest warrant notice issued against you via telephone.
 ***You would already know the IRS is communicating to you - and it would be via US Mail not telephone calls.

Just received call stating they were from the Social Security Agency and my ss# is involved in fraudulent activity and my card was to be suspended in the next 24 hrs. He asked me to verify my name and telephone number. I told him "you called me, so tell me" He said he needed me to say it for verification. I told him to go F himself and hung up.

Yeah the social security number scammers are now spoofing the FBI’s phone number.

They threatened us alot  saying they will give educational funds  by tellinf usa govermwnt provide it to international student they kept taking money and were adding in returns and now am gettimg calls from this its a whole scam including the university

They kept asking for money threatning  that iquiry will be open u will face alot problems in ur country and all rubbish
