This person keeps calling me during the day.  I work graveshift and have a daughter in DayCamp so I can not turn off the phone in case of emergency.  I keep trying to call them back to have them remove my number but it doesn't sound like that is going to happen.

Got a phone call today from "unknown" so I don't know if it is the same group mentioned on this site or not, but foreigner with heavy mid eastern accent started with "Mum, I'm calling because your computer is sending out error messages. I said, "My computer isn't having any problems, so why are you calling me and what company are you working for?" He said Texaco or something that sounded like that and said, "You wouldn't know if  my computer was sending error message"---only him. I laughed and said what scam are you pulling now. He didn't understand me, I guess, because he said he would have his manager talk to me and "Mum, can you hold a few minutes?" I hung up and two minutes later the phone rang twice showing "unknown" again. I actually was on my laptop, and after this phone scam, my Firefox wouldn't open and still won't. I shut it down and my battery needed charging--Hmmm. I didn't tell him I was on a computer, but can he do anything to hurt it over the phone. I was looking at a recipe on the Food Network and using Firefox on my Macbook. I'm using another browser to find this site and write a comment.

Got a cold call from "Online PC Experts" from this number, claiming to have been "alerted" to a problem with my Windows computer at an address where I no longer live in Illinois.  I asked if the call was a phone solicitation, and informed the caller I was on the do not call list, and they persisted in trying to tell me that there was a problem with my Windows computer.  Told them I don't own or run any Windows computer, don't have a business relationship with Online PC Experts, etc., and they hung up on me.  Clearly a scam.
