This number identified itself as a Debt Collection Company and gave another number to contact them.

The number that's calling is a debt collection agency on behalf of WAMU. They are very rude, so instead of getting yourself all worked up from their rudeness DON'T ANSWER!!!Here are two of their number:202-367-9234 & 651-204-1374 BEWARE

I believe in PAYING MY BILLS even if-I agreed to some unfair stipulations and looking back relize I was bamboozaled by fancy talk that I did not understand...SO i had every intention of paying them Reguardless of how insaine late fees and penalties were. AT first I tried to be cooperative and nice, I told them about my situation, currently being laid off, and how I am trying hard to pay them so please give me a little time... Then I had to tell them to stop calling me because Im going to file bankruptcy... NOW I do not answer.. but REGUARDLESS of what i have tried, they will not stop blowing my phone off the wall, Talking rude to me, and treating me like crap. I DO NOT CARE IF I WIN THE LOTTERY AND HAVE A BAGILLION DOLLARS THEY WILL NOT GET A PENNY FROM ME...I WILL FIGHT TILL THE DEATH NOT TO PAY THEM> they need to know that their harrasment tactics are unsuccsesful and they should try something different. like being human.

I bought a very loud whistle once, the kind the coast guard uses. I started answering these calls and, when I first said hello, it took several seconds before someone finally came on the line. As soon as a real person started talking I let go on that whistle and after a while the phone calls were far and few between. Might wanna give it a try. Another thing I've done is answer and when they ask for a specific person I tell them to hold on, please. I lay the phone down and go about my business. I figure if they can disturb my peace and waste my time, I can do the same to them. I pay my bills and have excellent credit so they have no need or right to be torturing me.

they calling me like 10 times a day houseline and cell..no message leave!

I fell behind on bills due to being let go WHILE on maternity leave, so I was out of luck and out of money. Now that I am working I have tried catching up on my bills. Only two of my CC companies stopped adding late charges and other fees while I get caught up yet when I called WAMU to make a payment they wanted some outrageous $385 or in payments but they wouldn't stop adding late fees which defeats your purpose in getting caught up. Then I told the agent that I would rather make an extra payment with the credit card companies that are working with me and she got rude. I told her to go fly a kite basically. After you are late by 180 days the credit card company will work with you, not this bogus agency. I'd rather just wait it out and settle with them in like 3 months.

i think is just goes to show us how low some humans are willing to scoop down to make a dollar.
ANY one that agrees to harass another human over money is obviously an unkind soul and is an need of
a real life experience.A HUMBLE LING very close to the hart. then and only then they will understand what it is to be down and out. THE TIME WILL COME...
