I got a call from this number on Monday very rude they where suppose to be from IRS  with a foreign accent I blocked it and got another one from 202 9912609 OMGOODNESS

I received a call from this number this morning, and didn't answer. The number left a robot-voiced message, and while the beginning got cut off, the end was talking about "willful fraud" and urging me to call back asap to avoid jail time.

This is a common IRS fraud tactic. The IRS will NEVER contact you by phone or email. You can go to the IRS website for directions on what to do if you receive an alleged call/email/letter from them: https://www.irs.gov/privacy-disclosure/report-phishing

For your convenience, I'll copy their directions on phone calls:

1) Record the employee's name, badge number, call back number and caller ID if available.

2) Call 1-800-366-4484 to determine if the caller is an IRS employee with a legitimate need to contact you.

3) If the person calling you is an IRS employee, call them back. If not, report the incident to TIGTA (https://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml) and to the IRS at phishing@irs.gov (Subject: 'IRS Phone Scam')

Once again, the IRS does not cold-call you. This is a FRAUD tactic, and should be reported.

I received a call from same number. On Tuesday. Didn't answer call listened to voice message. Robot male voice. Does not identify who he is. Just say "do not disregard this msg and do return my call thank you".

I got the same call, I looked it up after not picking up, and it said it was from  Washington DC. I didn't care, until I got a voicemail saying if I didn't call back I'd be arrested. I called back and he asked if my name was some guy they were looking for. I told him to take my number off his list, and to never call back or I'll sue.

This number has called me several times stating the have an- unavailable arrest warrant for my name and unless I pay money and right away I will go to jail. Today I received another call same people different number. They have very thick Asian accent.

I was called from a different number [(702)487-3775] by someone telling me I've won an American Family Sweepstakes and that they've sent notifications that I haven't responded to since the beginning of the year and that I have 48 hours to claim the 2nd-place prize by calling the Washington DC number above which the caller claimed was the Department of Consumer Protection, or some similar government office, and to give a specific person there the claim number he provided me in order to receive complete instructions on how to claim the prize. That's the jist of it all so far.

This is not claiming to be IRS when I get the calls. Allegedly investigation about money sent to Africa. Liar keep calling so I blocked this number. Government agency sends postal mail... NOT THREATENING PHONE CALLS! Telling them that,& they threatening to send attesting officer. I've had these calls over 3 years now and no mail from DC or an officer on my doorstep to arrest me?

This number 2024077211 called my mom saying that they were homeland security and asked about a man in Gauna and said they were apart of a criminal ring and if she did not comply she would be arrested and cops would be at her door at 9 am.

I got a call from 202 407-7211 say the were from deportation and to call back. I did not

I am so glad to here this because  this same number call me today and told me the same thing my friends said its a scam  they said I will be arrested if  I didn't send money for court from talking to someone  from Africa  and I couldn't tell no one  about it
