They call, but won't talk

Called 2 times in one day. Claimed to be from the treasury. Tried to repeat his name, but said the wrong name

Called twice, when I called back the call would not go through, called the third time and I answered. Wrote down the information so I could check up on it. Supervisors name was Christine Mill. Wanted me to call 929–9 99–18462 verify a $7000 grant. Just called back to tell me I needed to call her supervisor now.

Keeps calling and hanging up - naturally, the number is disconnected - how to stop this?

Said I needed $250. For the taxes.. His name was Jacob White

Grant scams:

The government does not call people up and offer them free money because you paid your taxes on time, have never been arrested, have paid all your bills, or whatever excuse they can make up.  In order to get a grant you need a valid reason (not one of the above and not just because you need money), you have to fill out tons and tons of paperwork, wait a long time, and might not even get the grant in the end.  If you are lucky enough to get the grant after all that paperwork, they do not ask you to pay taxes, transfer fees, or any other types of fees.  Also, please note that the government would never ask you to pay these so called taxes or fees to some anonymous person using Western Union, Moneygram, or any of the cards such as iTunes cards which is a new favorite among foreign scammers.

Called three times on a Saturday. Caller ID said Washington, D.C. Answered the third time and claimed to be someone from us government treasury. Told them I am on do not call list and not to call me again and he said "I have the list" or something and hung up. I got two more calls later from the same number with different spaces from Egypt. Answered and they asked my name again and when I asked what I could help them with they hung up. Got another call about 40 minutes later and it was a woman this time saying she was from the us government. When I questioned that they hung up. Super annoying!!!

Called up and left no message. Caller ID says "Washington DC". Why should someone call from DC when don't know anybody there?

Got a call this passed Saturday. I answered and said hello 4x finally a man with a thick accent who couldn't pronounce my name asked for me. I said to stop calling me and he got very vulgar and also started to talk sexual. I told him to stop calling me. They continue to call
