Caller has a thick accent and said his name was officer Decker or Becker from the IRS. Told me not to disregard this call because a judgement and a warrant for my arrest would be issued if I did not return his call. This is very similar to other scam calls from the IRS I have received. The real IRS always contacts you through the mail and never through a phone call.

These guys are from India. Just spoke to one after the third call he let me have a conversation.

Yup.... I got a similar Automated call from "officer Melvin Decker" alleging tax evasion and i should return his call to avoid arrest and procecution.... Watch out !   Some people would actually believe that garbage and fall into a mess of fraud..... I hope the get busted....

Just received a call from this number where the guy said he was Melvin Becker (or Decker, hard to tell with the thick Indian accent) from the IRS and was threatening to have me arrested for tax fraud.    Putting this out there so other might not fall to this trap although I have to admit I have had other phone scammers contact me and these guys are pretty bad.    He did end his message by telling me to have a Blessed Day.  Ah, if only our government workers could be so spiritual with their customers:-)

First time to recieve this type of prank call. I was told not to ignore this call and return his call..said his name was Officer Melvin Decker from the IRS and he was going to have me arrested in 1/2 hr. due to fruad! he had a heavy accent, maybe Phillapino. when I told him I could'nt understand what he was saying he told me I did'nt understand anything! Ha Nuts to him.

Had a call from this number too. Deputy Melvin Decker call us or you will have a judgement against you filed in  court. SCAM....don't fall for this idiot. Don't call ignore it. Sounds as if call is coming from India.

I received the same message, same name, same dialogue

Got the same call from this same tool claiming to be with the IRS.  I am so F..in sick of these [***] figuring out a way to get through no call lists and blocked numbers!  What I wouldn't give to get "Melvin" alone in a room and shove his turbin down his throat.

Claiming they are the IRS and they're going to put a tax lien on me

Just called my cell phone - ID listed an area code from Washington, DC. Man left a message on voice mail; foreign accent, claims I need to call him back about tax fraud. No thanks, "Melvin" - you're not from the IRS, and I'm not falling for it. BLOCKED.

Got a call from this ignorant idiot who told me a police officer would come arrest me in the next 45 minutes for tax evasion and tax fraud. I asked for documentation in writing to be sent by mail and why I haven't received anything, he said I didn't have a right to documentation. I told him if it's regarding myself and my personal matters then I have every right to have something in writing and I asked to speak to a supervisor. He hung up on me 3 times.

Eventually the call got ugly and I was screaming at him. He kept threatening me that he alrrady sent the police to come arrest me, i dared him to and told him to get a flight from India and come get me himself and he said he would. Lmao. Idiot.

Hahaha...let's all have a laugh about this one. The main problem with their scam...the IRS doesn't call people...like they have the time or money for that! The day the United States IRS takes the time to call my little business, I will gladly take their call...but these are scammers from India. That's the other funny part...The IRS is outsourcing tax collection to India?!?! Who knows...maybe some day...but as for now...I THINK NOT!

Same thing here. Threatened arrest and courthouse action in voice mail, could not be bothered to answer any call from D.C. area code. Either scam or an opinion poll in my past experience.

Got a call from someone with an accent, probably from India. He claimed to be a police officer Decker from the IRS and he td me I committed tax fraud. I asked him how much and he said $1,400. He went on and on about how he's going to send the police to arrest me if I didn't pay, and how he had evidence on me. I told him he call the National Guard and stick the evidence where the sun don't shine, because I was sending the cops to arrest him.
