Scam about gov grants!!!! Do not give these people ur info!!!! They will take ur money and run

i received a call from 661-959-8596 telling me that i am eligible for a $7000 grant from the government.  They gave me the 202-407-9845 number an gave me a money approval code and told me to contact them at that number.  When i did they told me i had to pay a $234 deposit in order to get the grant money released.  I didn't give them any money, didn't sound right to me.  If it's grant money from the gov. I shouldn't have to pay anything.  Just thought i should report it.  There calling people from the 661-959-8596 and having them call the other number.
