The caller asked for me by name, then said he was from Microsoft.  I didn't let him continue because Microsoft has never called me in the past so I said "I'm not interested in your scam, thank you and good bye".  I heard in a thick Indian accent "what scam" before I hung up.

Called me tonight. Obvious scam. Said they were from Microsoft  and my computer IP was sending them  error messages. I told them they were full of BS (I didnt abrreviate) and the guy hung up. A minute later,  another guy called because I was rude to his technician. I told him they were scammers. He said, "no",  and then he said he would fix the problem. I said I  would report them to Microsoft and then he said they were from "Webtech" . He said if they didnt fix it, they would discoonect my IP address. After some colorful shouting on my part, i hung up.  Called the number back and it's a  non-working number.

The standard "I'm a Microsoft Certified Engineer calling to fix your computer". I asked how he knew there was a problem & he said "When there's a problem with your computer it sends us a message" - lol. I told him that was ridiculous and that Microsoft would never call someone, suggested he get a real job instead of trying to rip people off before hanging up. These guys spoof their numbers, so you can block them but hey'll eventually call back on a different number.

Yes, its a group of people barely can speak English, saying they are calling from Microsoft and want to sell "extended warranty to my Dell computers".  IT IS A SCAM...  AND TELL THEM YOU SEE THIS NOTE FROM GOOGLE SEARCH!
