202-506-9274 and 202-506-9010 are fraudulent numbers.

I got a call supposedly from IRS, and it was alleging I have evaded paying tax or made deficient payment. The person sounded a foreigner (with South Asian accent that sounded like a Philipino accent).  I told him I'm suspicious,  and I told him  that I'm going to call the IRS. He claimed he is from IRS, and gave me  two call back numbers: 202-506-9274 and 202-506-9010. He also asked me to speak to Kevin White, and to make it look legitimate he also gave me a file number (two letter followed by 6 digits; for example, FB019412).

I called the 202-506-9274, and asked for Kevin who immediately asked me for the file number. But again this person who spoke to me had a heavy foreign accent This person threatened me with an arrest the next day. He also claimed I was served an affidavit last year in December 23 or 24, 2013.

A frantic call to an attorney assured me that IRS does not work this way, and later a search on this website revealed that it was a fraudulent number. I also called Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 1.800.366.4484. The lady at Treasury confirmed that both numbers (202-506-9274 and 202-506-9010) are fraudulent.

Exactly the same story. Someone called from this number wanted to talk to my husband, claiming to be IRS. Total scam.

Somebody call me around 6pm today march 6th 2014 that I owe it's $4500 and if I pay 3000 I will b fine otherwise I will b arrested I told the guy my tax are up to date this guy was fraud

Same story. I actually believed the first message.. then there were two more, within a three hour time frame, with the same man and same heavy accent, but a different name left on each message.

I've been receiving calls with this number (202-506-9010) from a person named "Robert Calvin", indicating this is a Legal Matter for Tax deficient payment for file#.   He said he's from IRS and that our taxes have been miscalculated for the past 10 years and we owe ~$3,000.00.    He said that police officers will be coming by the next day and take my husband to court, and most likely go to jail unless we pay the taxes, and that they're going to seize my house, any accounts we have, cars, and everything we own.  

The person sounded legit and  I seriously believed him.  I was getting frantic and told him this is the first time I've heard of our taxes being incorrect and that I have no knowledge of this.  He said that on Dec 23 and Dec 24, they sent Registered Mail to notify us, but no one was home.  I think he sensed that I believed him so he said he that we need to take care of this right a way.  I told him I'll call back after I talk to our accountant.   Anyhow... I called my accountant, the police station, an attorney (who is a friend), and all said THIS IS A SCAM.  I was so mad for having this person get to me.  

I don't know what these type of people are capable of doing, and how they get our names / phone numbers.  There has got to be something to arrest them or do something to track them for criminal charges.   WHAT A SCAM...

I just get the same call from an Indian, and he asked me to call Cavin Brwon at 202-506-9274 with a case number.  I called Cavin. The first time it was a silence. The second time, the answering machine announced "Thanks for Calling IRS." Then a man picked up and asked me for the case number. Then he said he was going to pick up my file. Immediately, another Indian picked up. He asked me whether I have my criminal attorney, saying I have three counts of tax eviction crime.  Then I realized it was a scam. I told him I am going to call IRS. The guy was immediately scared, making a few of nonsense allegations and hanging up. I tried to call the same number again a few times but met with busy signals all the time.

I called the number and the guy did exactly the same, and then told me that the police will come to arrest me within two hours.  I just listened and said that I will wait for the police to come in two hours.  He hung up right after that.

Got the same call today...same story. Thanks for posting it. These guys should get caught soon.

I deleted, since the voice on voice mail appeared Indian.  It threatened me to call back with an attorney and warned of dire consequences if I ignored message.  I deleted.  First, I pay my taxes, and believe the IRS would first contact by mail with the tax year in question, etc. before operating in this manner.  I suspect they were trying to get Social Security Number and money.  

Got the same call today in answering machine. Caller shows 202-506-9010 and asked to call 202-506-9026 with threaten languages. As suspicious as it he sounds, and I paid my tax always on time, I have to admit when I first heard it I was a bit panic, until I replay it the second time then it all sounds scam.

I got the same call today for my mom... They also treathen the same way and it was foreign accent with the name of the person Kevin brown. Same phone numbers as listed above.

Guy named Kavin Brown called me saying i owe 5K to IRS. Threatned to get arrested if not paid. He asked me pay by money dot.

I got the same call on March 15, 2014. We need to stop those guys before somebody lose the money.

We must stop those guys !!

today my wife attend the call from 202-506-9010 and they were saying to her  that you have tax crime and you have call back on 202-506-9026 and this is your case number and speak with Kerry Brown. She was so afraid well finally she called me and I figured out its SCAM.... because we never late from Tax and all are good in standing well I called to my mobile company and logged a complain about this number and they blocked it too. This is for all people that IRS never send emails or phone calls in person.

Same call received today for someone whom I don't know....

It's amazing how many people can be fleeced by an Indian scammer with a stentorian voice and a cheap magicJack.

Received call claims that he is from IRS and have arrest warrant if don't pay 87 - 88 tax past due.  Which is unbelievable because I was out of country those years and did not have any income to report.  

He gave me number to call (202) 506 9026 Kevin Brown his Supervisor to resolve  the issue and avoid jail and penalty.

Kevin Brown threat me about everything he can and when I ask for specific information he hung up by saying you already invited the trouble and now you can wait for arrest.

My friend got the same call for 2days in A row from the same company from 202-506-9010 ....Same story.. Threatened to be arrested.. and all..  I called them to find out who they were and what it was about.. They just hung up twice.
