Rec'd a call from phone #(202) 506-9268.  Did not answer the phone.  A message was left that stated it was the Internal Revenue Service calling with the last notice that the IRS has a suit against us, which is absolutely false.  Left the above phone number and a message to call them back, which we did not.

This is a scam. The automated message which is very choppy ( and includes bad grammar ) threatens that there will be a lawsuit against you. "This is the final attempt to reach you."  Yah right! they will send certified letters for you first before anything is done. I know as I owed money a few years back and they sent me certified letters and I was able to call a 800 number!

Yeap they called me to. I did call the IRS and my accoutant , then them and gave them my two cents worth. They said within 24 hours if I did pay them I would be arrested, bank Accts., closed, property taken and driver licence suspended.

We received a phone call from "IRS" stating this was my last warning, they had a suit against me. Not my husband and I, me. I called the number 2x, 202-506-9268. Someone answered but it sounded like a bad connection and they hung up. Called again and the same thing, now I know for sire it was some sort of scam. Don't know what they were trying to do, but also got to thinking of past experiences. Certified letters, 800, numbers to call them, etc.

I received the same call, i did return the call, they were surprised to hear hat i am a federal employee and will be taking action against them. Since when did the IRS contract out to INDIA? I told them to send me certified mail and there claim so i can have my attorney sue them and then prosecute them. Was then hung up on from little man from India which I could not understand. I received a  call from the number mentioned above with the same treats yesterday; thank you for your comments, I did not know if it was a follow up on an identity theft that happened to my elderly mother and we were concerned
