I got the same phone call at 5 am this morning and then my husband says just search the phone number. Sure enough Julie Smith was the contact and now I know it is all a fraud.
Time to call the IRS and tell them that this is happening.

I was called by this # 202-506-957. The caller identified themselves as a US IRS agent. I called the IRS and they suggested it was a scam and that I should report same. I have reported the call to both the VA States Attorney General's Office and to the US Attorney General's Office.

I also received a call this morning at 9:15am from the number 202 506 9570 stating this was IRS calling and to please return the call immediately or further action would be taken.

I got that same message yesterday and called back this morning and when I started asking questions they said i could ask the police when they come pick me up. Than she said have a nice day and hung up. That is not  what the IRS does. Scam and it just makes me mad. URG!!

I was getting messages  on the recorder sounded real distorted and creepy... and at the end a haggish woman says "have a nice day".... Then one day I was at home when they called.  I work nights to be awakened to this garbled noise of a call asking for my wife... after asking  3 or 4 times what they were saying (there is a subliminal din to this call ) I heard criminal investigation w/ my wifes name.... the irs has always notified me  by certified mail.  I told the guy that  any tax issues w/irs were with me and he wasn't getting any information at all... He says are you her husband I says yes, there is about ten second pause with crazy background noise .. then "click" you'd think a legit org. could afford a good phone connection...I had my son check it out , it traces to majicjack.

I received the same IRS call approximately 2 weeks ago. This group is a joke. The man claims his name is Alan. These people are so stupid they keep my number on their calling list and call me when they change burner phones. This group is soooo stupid. The sad part of this is that the IRS does not appear to be doing anything to stop them. I have filed a complaint via fax, have called the IRS and their voice mail box was full. 202-506-9570 has been active for over *2 weeks*! I asked the man yesterday why he doesn't just go get a *real* job. Shame on any people who fall for this scam because these people are dumber than rocks.

Got that phone call today at 10:15 am .. supposedly a tax agent for irs threatening me with arrest, driver license suspension etc. supposedly i :owed:taxes on 2008/09 (which i don't) i kept calling back, asking when please the guys come to arrest me, finally the guy went all out in curse words.. i think i might have called  him enough, he had quite a dirty vocabulary but even that was rather mundain.. of cause i reported it to the treasury and to the fbi.  if you get that phone call, call them back all the time...

Once we stopped laughing at the recorded message ...We pressed replay and laughed more....

I received a call this morning from this number stating it was an urgent call from the IRS.  Since  I am a CPA, I know this is a scam.  

Just got the message on my answering machine from 2025069570.  same story, jumbled rant about IRS and not to ignore this call.  So tempted to call them back but why waste my time and minutes on my phone.  As everyone said here, it's a scam.  IRS would not bother to call you and instead just send you a certified letter regarding your overdue taxes with payment amounts.  I had this happen before from a few years back when I did my own taxes and they just charged interest on top of the late amount.  No real harm done.  The IRS would not make threats and instead be at your door before they tell you.

Got a call this morning from the number 1-202-506-9570. SCAM

I was Contacted multiple times by this number & another similar number from DC area, left one message stating they are from the IRS and I need to return the call.  Called them back and they started demanding personal information for verification and for service of arrest warrant and to obtain audit materials submission back to 2007.  When I asked for a written notification he became irate, then I asked for someone that spoke better english because I couldn't understand him.  At that point he hung up.  

I got a call yesterday August 26 from this number 202-506-9570  voice mail said it is urgent I call them back. Did not identify themselves. I called this morning. a man with an Indian accent in what appeared to be a noisy room claimed he is with the IRS. went on to say it was the "Income Revenue Service"  Claimed I owed back taxes and the IRS is filing charges against me. I asked him what makes him think I owe back taxe?.  He then accused me of being deaf and not listening to him and hung up on me.

reported this to the local athurities today claiming they are from the IRs and going to freexe my bank account and take my property.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.
