SCAM  Auto dialer with computer voice claiming to be the IRS.  Left message that heavy fines could be avoided if I returned the call.

Got the same message today.

I just received the same phone message indicating a sherrif waas coming to arrest me for tax fraud.
When asked for a reference number to my "case" they hung up. It is very unsettling.
Perhaps the IRS should be made aware of this

The IRS is very aware of this situation.  There is information on the official IRS website.  These scammers are probably on India!

The IRS does not initiate any legal action over the phone. The scammers use voice over IP lines (in this case magicjack (Ymax corporatiion). This is against the company's terms of use and can lead to termination of their contract. However only law enforcement can initiate the contact if you yourself are not a customer. So report it also to your local law enforcement agency. Ultimately this is a case for the FBI legal attache in Islamabad. If you are really annoyed: call or write to your representative in Congress. As these scams happen all over the country maybe this will trigger a reaction (and the NSA can finally be a force for good).

They have left 3 messages on my machine today saying "Do not ignore this call and return the call before legal action is started" or something like that. WTH??? I knew it was probably a scame!

Got two messages saying officer Heather Gray from the IRS , important or legal action will be taken, Im sure its a scam.

Got the same message today from the IRS about them taking legal action about me.  
But the robot lady did say "have a good day."

Heather Gray called me twice today too.  She must have been busy.

Received an unsettling message about tax fraud from this number

Got a call from MS Hanagrave at the IRS Says it is urgent I call them back before they take legal action against me.  When I call them back I get voice mail.  It just didn't seem right.  I know the IRS always sents a letter to you.  Not a phone call.

I received a Voice Mail about 10mins ago, The robot voice stated it Sheriff Heather Gray with IRS and that it is urgent I call them back before they take legal action.... very unsettling call.... even more unsettling after looking at the above posts!!

same thing has happened to me here in Oregon today.  Officer Gray from the IRS ends with "take care"....

Same here in Massachusetts -- two calls, both threatening "legal allegation".

recd 2 messages from her yesterday ...  did call back to see what it was and just got the information about Magic Jack and hung up.

    I talked to officer Hannah yesterday. He sounded middle eastern, Threatened me with tax fraud, loose your drivers license for 10 years, go to jail. Told me to hire a criminal attorney right away or pay them what I owed them.  I made him read off everything I could be charged with. Took him about 10 minutes. My wife contacted the Attorney General of North Dakota. They said officer Hannah is is a fake and is probably overseas. Pretty tough to take action against these kind of scams. I hope law enforcement gets these ba__tards and makes them pay. Too lazy to work a real job!

It's 2017 and they are still at it. The IRS is on it's way to arrest me as I type this. I better bake cookies...LOL

This number and  another one with same prefix keeps calling me started Tuesday saying I owe money to IRS & I'm going to jail in 72 hrs I found out it is a Scam also

Just received a message - Im going to jail for tax fraud. Seriously??? not sure who these people are but goodness.. I am not stupid
