FAKE DEA agents demanding a fine be paid of go to jail.  Kind of funny, since the DEA agent speaks broken English.

I just got this same call, except I called him on it being a scam, or that I wsa not going to give out any personal info to him, then, in that broken english, he said something, then hung up!!

more  than likely   (  99  %  )   one   of  the   several   "  202"  area  code  fraud  scams   going  around !!!

PLEASE  NOTE !!!   THESE  SCAMMERS  ARE ALSO IMPERSONATING   THE  US  GOV'T /  SEVERAL  GOV'T  OFFICES AND   PERSONS....BEWARE !!!

- also  impersonating    US  MARSHALLS /   DEA AND  DRUN  ENFOREMENT  etc....

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers  in  INDIA /  THAILAND / AFRICA  /  JAMAICA  ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you....just  provide  you  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc......all  long  ongoing  scams

Caller: 202 AREA CODE FRAUD SCAMS

Just got a call.  Some guy with broken english says that he's call from the DEA and I had better call him back to prevent my arrest.  Oh, and the name he's using is over 4 years old as I've since married.  SCAM.

A man, in broken English, claimed to be a DEA agent.  The name he used sounded like 'Tony Angelli."  He's threatening me that either I pay of I go to jail in the Dominican Republic.  This would be funny, but he uses both my cell number and house phone to continue this 'aggravated harassment.
This is a SCAM and I won't fall for it!

Any thoughts about how I can stop these DEA scamsters from calling me forever??

Just got a call from Sgt Deputy in charge Angelli like Malk did.  He says he needs me to return his call immediately because "I" know that they have a search warrant for my property as well as an arrest warrant for myself.  Very upsetting and frightening.  I did not return the call of course but looked it up on the computer and found others with the same experience.  I will turn this over to my local sheriff.

Same as Buffy, very frustrating.. He said exact same thing, Tony Angelli or something like that. What a joke, and not a funny one.

A man called from the above number claiming to be from the DEA.  He threatened me and my husband.  He was extremely abusive and he scared me so much that I became very ill.  He threatened me with 5 - 7 years in a federal prison and a fine of $250,000.  He also said if I told my husband that my husband would be charged with conspiracy.

I got the same guy calling me.  I'm pretty gullible...just a grandmother from NJ...he scared the life out of me...I became very ill.....part of me knew it was a scam, but the more I called him on it, the more threatening he became...I want to find this man and put him away!

I got the same  threatening call rom US Deputy Angeli to call him back immediately. I called back and he threatened me with jail time and deportation. Once I put him on speaker phone to take "notes" he got irate and told me I would have 15 years to take notes in jail and hung up on me.
I called him back and he answered then told me I was going to spend 15 years, $250,000.00 in fines and then deport me to the Dominican Republic to face charges and hung up on me again. I called him back again and got voice mail. I called my local sheriff's office and made a recorded complaint to the department.
