Got an electronic recording trying to sell me a new warranty on my computer.  I fell out laughing when the electronic voice offered the number to call as 8 billion 80 million --- at which point I could not keep up.  

When I did hit redial I got a quicky loan company in DC.  Don't know if they know what is happening with their phone number or not.

Caller ID:  DC, USA  <-- This vague caller ID is a sign that the caller is a scammer and/or a telemarketer.
Caller left no message.

The caller phoned me twice in two minutes.  I assume both calls were robocalls made by a scammer and/or a telemarketer.

I do not recognize the phone number, nor do I know anyone in the DC area.

Is there a way to protect children and elderly parents from scammers and/or telemarketers?

I have blocked the number.

"My loan application has been approved". Problem, I haven't applied for any loan(s)...it's just another scam
