Called, no message

Called left a 2 second blank voicemail

2nd spam call from this number; I have already registered with the no-call Fed site--so these & all the other Bozo's have < 31 days before the FINES start…(wish I could get me some of that revenue!)

Here is the Basic Info I could glean:

Phone Type: Landline
Carrier: Global Naps South Inc - MD

Caller ID said Washington DC.  (Yeah, I was expecting the pres's call.)  Anyway, the robo-caller has spoofed that caller ID, hopeful that more easy marks would answer the phone and be successfully scammed.  

Remember, these callers will try anything to get a human to answer the phone.  Just don't answer.

I've found a solution that is reducing the number unwanted calls I receive. I used to get 6-10 calls a day and now (3 weeks later) the unwanted caller average is only 1 a day.  

I had an unused fax machine and connected it to my voice line, and set it to answer on the third ring.  (My answering machine works on the 4th ring).  The old fax machine is persistent.  It makes a horrific noise when it tries to connect, and is persistent, tying up the caller's line for about a minute before it disconnects and hangs up.    That line is temporarily useless to the scammer until the fax machine hangs up.  A few have called more than once but the repeated fax treatment has ended their calls, too.  I'm really pleased with the results.  It is more effective than the Do Not Call list.  I'd guess the employee that is listening to the fax machine's loud noises is voluntarily removing my number from the autodialer's list.

I picked up to see what the scam thing was but it supposedly is for some magazine subscription thati dont have.

Said I only have to pay $257  to get a grant from the federal goverment,ha ha, a grant never comes with a processing fee!

This company is the carrier of the phone being used to harass me. Please stop it

What possible thought process suggested that we called you, or your caller reads your posts here?

What on earth makes you think Slim or anyone else posting on this website called you? Try reading Slim's post again and pay attention to what it says. Or here, I'll try explaining. This is a website to help people identify unknown phone numbers. This number does not belong to Slim, nor did he claim it does. Slim was simply explaining to the person he replied to the same thing I just told you. No one here called you.
