I called back this phone. They picked up within 2 rings. He said it's from IRS. I told my sister. She said the IRS sent a letter notified that they never call residents, only by mail.

left a callback number.  These clowns need to be taught a lesson.  We should block our caller id and then call their number and pester them the way they do to us.
The IRS does not do this kind of thing.  Mail only.  And they ask you to come for a visit at the local office.

Being a old guy, 76, I an inundated with JUNK calls, COX my provider wants biggy bucks to enhance my service so I can *60 these calls. Well I have come up with another method. I try to keep the hand set with me and catch the call on the second ring, answer and hang up at the same time. These are PC
generated robo calls, the PC reads this as a block and drops the number, seems to be working!!

I got this "urgent IRS call" call and when I questioned the guy he hung up.

Automated woman's voice say to call the IRS Hotline at 202-517-6444 immediately to resolve tax problem or else big problem.
