Got a call rom this number stating that they were a mitigation company working with their client a payday loan company.  Said we took out a loan in 2008 and they were filing a civil suit against us.   I stated that we did not have a loan and they became very aggressive and said "I know you took out this loan and we ARE filing against you" I then said Good Luck!  The fair debt collection practices act says you have 2 years to file a civil suit and collect.  We received no information or documentation regarding this so you have no case.  She said we show this loan was taken out on a computer, no documents.  I told her that sounds really risky on your clients part as there is no way to prove or show responsibility.  I then wished them luck in their pursuit.
The caller ID showed up as "Citation Department" with this phone number 202-517-6651.  She said she was not a collection company but a mitigation company and would be filing a civil suit.  They are a collect company.  I just bought a house and there are no blemishes or loans on my credit.  BEWARE!
